“excellent location, stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 8, 2013

Our first trip to Napa..Excellent location, walking distance to restaurants and many wine bars. Concierge was very friendly, room was good size and very clean. Parking included which was nice and in-room breakfast a nice touch as well.

Great atmosphere, good local food/restaurant scene. It's close enough to some major wineries, overall, I am very pleased with the service of the hotel.

It over looks the river in downtown Napa, you can hear ducks quacking at night when you're sleeping. Kind of soothing.

Our first trip to Napa. A very beautiful hotel with very friendly staff. Room with a fabulous view- quiet- spacious- romantic. We paid for a premium room and got it. We would have been disappointed with a lower floor and non-river view. Prices are high though in keeping with the surrounding area- as always, you get what you pay for. We did generally eat elsewhere because of greatly overinflated local restaurant prices.....though we did eat at Celidon's which was worth it!!!

Room Tip: pay the price to get a room on an upper floor with a river view

Green Features: very eco-conscious- even the room keys were wood product and recycled

The Napa River Inn is the perfect spot for a reasonably priced, convenient stay in Napa. The room was pristinely clean and nicely laid out, with plenty of space for two people to comfortably move about. The check-in and out process was very smooth, and the staff was great. The hotel is steps to a whole host of great restaurants and shops, and is easy to find just a short distance off the highway. We'll certainly be back for our next trip to Wine Country.

This was a great place to stay for many reasons. The concierge staff was amazing at helping us plan a day of wine tasting and offered to help with any of our other plans. Having breakfast delivered every morning was a great way to start the day and the selection was pretty decent and the food itself was very tasty. The room was comfortable, spacious and even had a cute patio to sit out on and enjoy breakfast or wine. The inn is also really well located for walking to various downtown spots. Definitely enjoyed our stay!

We spent four days at the Napa River Inn (Napa Valley). Very clean, very nice, can walk to several top restaurants including Morimotos and Celadon. Tons of shopping within blocks. Hotel services were excellent! Ask and it shall be done. Need a rollaway for one night? Done. Need a ride to a local business? Done. Directions or a suggestion on where to eat? Done. All done quickly and with a smile. Would highly recommend And will be staying again on my next trip to Napa!

The big plus...location. The rest is poor. This is like a 1950s motel dressed up. Air conditioner and heater which are badly needed in these stuffy too hot and too cold rooms are the old old style with push buttons and vents that blow right on the bed. I was up and down all night pushing those buttons none of worked properly.

The walls and ceilings/floors are paper thin. The queen bed as advertised was not a queen....I measured it. It was a double. It was old old old. Every move my husband made moved my side.

A real telling example of the lack of attention to detail can be seen in the bath curtain hangers which were those pear shaped old fashion dime store wire hangers and half of them weren't even closed!

Another example is that while there is coffee in the room, they don't provide any creamer.

Over priced to the point of outrageous. Oh...breakfast was late because they said they were really busy. If they don't have the proper staff then don't ask guests what time they want breakfast.

Forget this place. Parking is easy in Napa...stay somewhere else and send a message.

Room Tip: Stay someplace else. Maybe the annex is better.
