“An Amazing Anniversary”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 12, 2007

My husband and I are celebrating our 5th wedding anniversary. We have 2 beautiful but energetic kids. We haven't been alone in 2 1/2 years and this was the best way to recline and remind us what we were like before the kids. Old World Inn rejuvenated us in so many ways. It wasn't just a B&B, it was an experience. We would definitely recommend it to our friends and we personally plan to return. We needed a weekend like this. Why not repeat it? The rooms were immaculate, the staff especially Joy (who lives by her name) was very helpful. We explored only a 1/10 of the wineries but that's ok. More reason to come. The projector was a plus! Don't get rid of it.

This was our first trip to Napa and I couldn't think of a better first impression than the Old World Inn. A charming well maintained older house, it was the perfect location for a base of operations to explore the wonders of Napa Valley!

The breakfasts were exceptional, the rooms cozy and comfortable, the staff very helpful, and the other guest very friendly, especially during the daily wine and cheese hour in the afternoon!

We would definitely recommend the Old World Inn to our friends and family and are already talking about a return trip.

This was the most beautiful time of my life. It has been so unforgettable with my new husband. What a great way to begin our new life.

When we walked in our room we were filled with so much excitement. The T.V., jacuzzi spa, and the fire place made a perfect romantic getaway. It really made me feel like I was on my honeymoon.

I could write pages on the staff. However we do have to mention one in particular. Ryan was amazing - he was so helpful and accommodating. We felt we could ask him anything. Thanks Ryan.

We had breakfast in our room one morning. One word - Superb. Superb food and service.

Over all our stay was more than we could of ever imagined. We hope we win this so we can return soon. Thanks so much for making our honeymoon so memorable.

Deep Gratitude,

The Craigs.

Richard and I had not been on a vacation for a long time. We were looking forward to it. We booked the Old World Inn after checking the inns in both Napa and Sonoma. Old World Inn seemed to be the best value for all it was offering and it was centrally located.
We were more than pleasantly surprised! Room was comfy, exceptionally clean, and peaceful after walking all day.
The food was excellent especially gourmet breakfast. The host were more than you could ask for. Always going out of their way to fulfill our requests and answer all of our questions.
Most of all the smiles on the staff and innkeepers faces were what started our days the right way!
Thanks to all of you for a wonderful stay!

I felt like family! First I would like to mention that the entire staff was friendly and helpful but Ryan was phenominal! He greeted us and showed us around the entire home and then immeadiately asked if we had dinner plans for that night? We told him no and he recommended a couple of places within walking distance. We picked one and he flipped open his phone and made us reservations.

We stayed for two nights and each night between 5 and 6 we met with the other travelers in the parlor for a private wine tasting from a local vineyard. It was very relaxed and everyone shared their daily experiences (great tips). They opened at least 8-10 bottles and we had 2nds and 3rds of our favorites. Great appetizers too.

We stayed in the Choclat room and it was very nice. My husband loved the projection screen attached to the bed and the dvd collection in the common area.

Be sure to let the local tasting rooms like Vitners Colllective (within walking distance and great wines) that you are staying at the B&B because you will get 2 for 1 wine tasting.

If you like good Jazz and Italian dont miss Uva Trattoria for dinner and remember Ryan can make your reservations.

This place was friendly and charming and we will be back!!!!

As this was a second trip to Napa we knew where we wanted to stay and through extensive research found the Old World Inn. It was close to downtown, close to the highway, and close to Trefethen where we are club members. The selection of Chocolat gave us a great room, front of house, large bed and great screen at the foot of the bed.

Having a few things booked we thought we were set. Ryan and Victor listened to us and made even better recommendations. We wanted quite wineries - they made it happen.

Breakfast was a delight as we met so many friendly and amusing people. The large table made for ease of discussion.

We will be back.

The wife and I decided on a last minute trip to Napa Valley as a long weekend get away. I fortunately stumbled onto the Old World Inn while searching the internet. Everyone raved about the inn and the service they received. Typically most people only write reviews when they are not happy with their stay but I didn't see any of them concerning the OWI. Due to the lateness of our booking we were not able to stay in the same room for our entire stay. We stayed in a different room each of the three night stay. We thus has a good opportunity to sample more of the OWI than others. Although we had to live somewhat out of our suitcases, the staff made it work by moving everything to our different room each day. Just like any successful company they are only as good as the people that work there. This is truly the case with the OWI. The people and services offered to the guests is A one. We were given recommendations on restaurants and wineries and were pleased with each one. Thanks for an enjoyable stay.
