“Fairy tales come true!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 3, 2011

We stayed in September 2011. It was spectacular. My husband and I stayed in the Miss Dorothy Room. Small, but efficient. I walked into a dozen beautiful long stem roses, chilled champagne and chocolates. How romantic. The inn itself is lovingly maintained. Susie and Ken are the epitome of innkeepers. Fresh homemade cookies, free beer, wine, cheese and crackers at happy hour. Delicious homemade breakfasts. We are vegetarians and were easily accommodated. I would highly recommend the inn. The area restaurants are all within walking distance which is a good way to work off some calories!! Enjoy your stay. We did.

“Delightful and Fun”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 24, 2011

The property is a beautifully restored mansion, with major emphasis on comfort. The hosts are enthusiastic and dedicated to making the stay enjoyable. We took a cooking class that was very fun and relaxed while still being informative. Altogether a great weekend get away.

Room Tip: No elevator, so rooms on higher floors require climbing several flights of stairs.

“What a pleasant surprise.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 8, 2011

We recently stayed at Cedar Gables Inn for two nights. My husband and two other couple friends of ours were all more than pleased with the experience. We all had varied experiences at B&Bs, but this was by far better than we all expected.

Ken and Susie, the owners, were extremely friendly and accommodating. There were many small, welcoming gestures along the way - such as the bottles of champagne in our rooms (we were celebrating anniversaries), made-to-order cappuccinos and lattes, wine tastings and cheese in the lounge area every evening (Friday's a vineyard comes in to discuss their wine), etc. The rooms were clean (obviously a little dated, but that's a B&B).

But the best thing about the inn was the breakfast. Delicious, freshly-made scones, French toast soufflés, fresh fruit parfaits, egg/veggie croissant with bacon. We all loved the food and it saved us a lot of money vs. going out for breakfast that probably wouldn't have tasted half as good.

If you're looking for a B&B in the area, definitely check this one out!

“Great Bed & Breakfast”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 7, 2011

My Wife and I stayed two nights and it was our first time in a B&B. We showed up early on our first day and Susie sat down with us and gave us a great itinerary for our first days visit to Napa. The next day Susie recommended a bus tour which picked us up and dropped us off at the inn and it was a lot of fun meeting people from around the US and Germany. The inn is walking distance to the downtown area with shops and restaurants. Happy hour every night (ask Ken to sing & play guitar), unbelievable breakfasts and very quaint atmosphere. Even though this was our first B&B experience, I can tell from talking to others that this will be hard to match. Highly recommended. Thank you Ken & Susie we will be back soon.

Room Tip: Call and talk to Ken or Susie to see what room will work best for you.

“Great Location; Best Breakfast Ever!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 29, 2011

Our first time in Napa and we stayed here four nights. Location is very conveniently located in walking distance to downtown Napa where there are great restaurants and shops. The inn was absolutely beautiful and imaculate. We have stayed at many B&B's and by far Susie created the most amazing breakfast we ever experienced. Freshly made pastries (by Susie), fresh fruit, and a gourmet main course...YUM!! Both Ken and Susie were fabulous hosts and you can tell they love what they do. Susie was extremely helpful in creating our Napa itinerary including wine tours and dinner reservations. All the restaurants and tours she recommended were top notch!! This inn is a definate destination for anyone visiting Napa.
