“A posh Butlins in the sun . . . .”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 9, 2012

This isn't a hotel but a resort / holiday park - sort of like a posh butlins!! (UK ref). The rooms are actually static mobile homes - but very nice nonetheless. We were in a studio which was fine for a couple of nights. The plus points were that as you had a dining space outside and the kitchen area was fairly well equipped you could cater for yourselves in the evening instead of going out to eat! And it had a fairly large pool area. The negative is that the room is fairly small and you don't get any room service - which is ok for a couple of nights but any longer it wouldn't be ideal. I would recommend this place but would make sure people understood what they were in for!!

Did a trade and do not regret it.....great location to everything you need or want to visit in Napa or Napa Valley. Friendly staff and good customer service. Cottages were very clean and the beds were very comfortable and there is a nice walking trail along the river that ends up at a small shopping center and has whatever you need (Starbucks). Pool area is nice as are the grilling areas. The River Pointe is a great place to call your HQ for a trip to Napa.

This is a cozy place. Ask for a cottage on the river because the rest of the cottage locations are crowded and non private. It's a great location and minutes from downtown. Taxi was only $8.00 plus tip.
At 1st glance it looks like a upscale trailer park because the cottages are on a trailer frame and parked in rows. But they are colorful and the inside is very, very nice!! But again, I would not stay there unless I had a river front cottage.
Check in is a problem because it is not until 4 pm. We arrived at 2, got to use the dirty pool and jacuzzi, and was not able to get into the room until 4:30 which totally messed up our plans. I asked the front desk why our cottage was not cleaned 1st and the answer was: "there are many to clean". Common hotel sense designates to clean a room that has guests waiting.
Pricing in October is greatly reduced and the best time to go.

My husband and I booked a week here as an exchange through our timeshare. We arrived Sept 30 and will leave on Sunday October 7. We have been very pleased, both with our unit, and the great staff. On Monday, they hosted a breakfast, to inform guests of activities the resort had to offer, and give information about Napa and Sonoma. There were several wine tastings at the resort, and various tours offered. Dinner with Marilyn, the activities director, at Cuvee was great! The units are clean and well kept, and there are several bbq areas for the guests' use. We would definitely consider returning here.

We were very happy with our stay at Riverpointe and would definitely stay there again. We had a 2 bedroom unit which was great for my husband and I along with our 2 adult children. The patio that seperated our units was nice, but we didn't have time to use it! Four adults do need two units - one unit would be cramped. It was clean, comfortable and the unit and grounds are kept up nicely.
The location is great - groceries at Wal Mart are about a 1 minute drive, downtown Napa takes just a couple of minutes and the highway is close to go further into Napa valley or Sonoma and about an hour to San Francisco. The kitchen had everything we needed - we had breakfast at "home" every morning, the pool area was welcoming but we didn't have time to use it and the trail came in handy for morning runs and evening walks.
The entire staff is helpful for directions and recommendations and don't miss the Monday morning breakfast - along with staff, there are people there to inform you about the tours that they offer. We met Hector from American VIP Limo & Wine Tours and ended up taking his tour to the wine country and then to San Francisco the following day. He is very knowledgeable and accommodating.
The front desk told us how easy it is to ship wine from there - very nice service that they offer - it was nice to not have to look for UPS or Fed Ex and just leave the boxes at the front desk.
The only complaint is the WIFI - trouble staying connected was frustrating.....
We really enjoyed our trip and the staff at Riverpointe made things easy for us.

Exchanged our time share to come here for a week. We had a 2 bedroom which was very nice to actually have 2 separate units (a one bedroom and a studio) attached by a deck with table and chairs. We walked the trail behind the property most days, could walk to Walmart and other stores for groceries, and we even walked to downtown Napa for the farmer's market and dinner a couple nights. Very convenient location to get to pretty much anywhere in the Napa Valley. The only onsite activity we participated in was Monday's breakfast, which was tasty and if you are looking to sign up for any type of tour they have people from all over in to talk to you. The unit had everything we could need for a week. The bed was comfortable. We would stay here again.

My wife and I stayed here two days in August while we toured the Napa Valley. The staff is very friendly, and we enjoyed the roomy trailers. I guess our stay was during the off days for room service as most people seem to spend a week and room service was not scheduled during our stay. No real issue as we had tons of clean towels and kept our trailer clean.

My wife enjoyed the pool and it appeared clean and lightly used. The property is very nice and there is a nice walking path along the river which we enjoyed in the early morning and late afternoons.

We ate across the street, at Compadres Rio Grille, which was very handy after a long day.

I think it would be good place to stay for a week if someone is looking for a longer stay.
