“Simply Fabulous! Can't wait to go back...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 13, 2013

Couldn't have chosen a more perfect spot to get some much needed Rest & Relaxation! Just LOVED this resort since it was quite and peaceful. My husband and I were visiting Napa for the first time from LA and we were booked at the Meritage for 3 nights. Our room was in a newer or upgraded wing that came with a little balcony overlooking the winery and we could even hear the sound of the fountain that was down below...simply a perfect set up for enjoying a glass of wine and just taking in the serenity. The room was nicely decorated and had a fully upgraded bathroom that was inviting. The highlight of our stay were the luxurous sheets on the bed - I wondered if there was a brand or if they sold them cause I was in love with them and wanted to buy a set! I might have had some of the best sleep while I was there. I also enjoyed the Gilchrist and Soames toiletries and the perfectly white towels. These small details all added to the experience. My husband had planned a little surprise on our first day- bubbly and chocolate covered strawberreis, and a mixed berry plate on our arrival. The ingredients were all so fresh and the rooom service staff we encountered were all very polite and friendly. We even received a call from Front Desk a few hours into checking in, enquring whether everything was too our satisfaction! Now THAT's what I call customer service! The resort premise is beautifully maintained. The gym opens up to the outdoors and faces the vinyards which was simply perfect. The front desk assists with making dinner reservations at any restuarant of your choosing. Downtown Napa is only 10 minutes away. Overall just such a wonderful experience that this will be a stay to remember for years to come. Highly recommend this place. Didn't get a chance to check out the pool or spa facilities but there is always next time! :)

Room Tip: Rooms facing the winery above the gym.

The overall property is clean and attractive. Our room was above average and very comfortable. Wonderful place for a conference or convention Except we were on vacation! This resort is located in an office park and truly takes away from the "wine country" experience (we were very unhappy with the location). During the weekend, the place turns into a wedding factory. Expect lots of noise from the parties and many areas of the resort will be "off limits" to accommodate 2-3 functions at a time. Nice place for destination wedding or business conference. If you are on vacation/holiday, there are much better choices in Napa and Sonoma.

$400 for a tiny room without the tub. Caulk in the shower was black and was peeling, very dirty!
3 stars because nice pool area and beautiful grounds. I will not return or recommend this resort to anyone else.

Stayed for two nights 9/5-9/6. Upon arrival we were upgraded to a much larger room- loved the jet tub. However, the last patron left their foul smelling leftovers in the frig. The bellman and manager were very apologetic, had the cleaning staff come and offered us drink vouchers. So- our initial thoughts weren't good. We didn't use the restaurant or spa/exercise facilities. This is a very nice hotel but agree with another reviewer who stated it seemed like a large condo complex situated in a business park. We had an excellent view of the vineyard. My only issue was that it's a little bit farther away than I wanted to be. Other than that, it was a very good room, pleasant/helpful staff with nice facilities.

Stayed here for two nights. The rooms are large, comfortable and the kitchen is well equipped. We didn't partake in the pool or other services. Loved the large sunken tub in the bedroom (with jets and all!). The internet is really fast . Staff is pleasant and professional. South of town - making the trip to wineries and restaurants a bit farther than other properties but not a deal breaker. Reminds me of a large condo complex situated in a business park. Not romantic but very functional.

We had a grand time. Stayed here for 3 nights. Spa, Winery, Restaurants, and really nice rooms.
Ask for the new wing and for Winery View rooms. Great view.

Highlights:
The bed and sheets were purely luxurious.
View of the winery was very nice and relaxing.
Service was just over the top. They call twice a day to see if you need anything.
Gym was so great that we went every morning. We're not daily gym people otherwise.

Everyone went the extra mile and it truly felt like one of those exclusive spots. Our room overlooked the winery. Gorgeous view. It's about 10-12 minutes drive from downtown Napa.

The one description that comes to mine is: Maniacal about customer service.

Room Tip: Ask for vineyard views. That's a newer wing supposedly.

My husband and I stayed here for 5 days while touring wineries in Napa. The hotel is beautiful, rooms were really comfortable and spacious. Our room was on the first floor with a view of the parking lot (which came in handy to load and unload the car after touring) and vineyards. We used the pool and spa and exercise rooms all well equipped. The resort has a coffee shop for quick cups and a full breakfast (delicious!) was included in our room rate
