“2nd Trip Back-Loved it Again!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 16, 2011

I can't begin to tell you how much I love the Meritage. We stayed for 4 nights on September 11-15th. We had wonderful weather and our room with a balcony view over the pool was just what we booked back in April. We had many choices and decisions to pick another hotel but my husband and I fell in love with this place and really wanted to visit. From the bed linens and comfy beds to the atmosphere outside by the pool and the wine cave....We did not have robes in our room and when we called the front desk -the robes were delivered still warm and comfy from the dryer immediately. My husband purchased a spa treatment and what an experience that was in the Spa Terra for my birthday...Wow -you have to try it...First Class all the way....Very soothing and relaxing....My sister and her husband traveled here from NY and was very impressed with the atmosphere of the resort. I loved the exceptional service and how friendly everyone was - as they were 2 years ago. I just can't say enough of how wonderful this place is. ....I would love to come back when the new construction is done. My only complaint is I wish they had bagels or danishes with the morning coffee. But it was a great way to start your day and was very sad to leave. A quick suggestion is that the outside pool area have a bartender during the week. We really liked having that option when out at the pool area but seemed like it was closed during the week. I definitely recommend walking the pathway to the Wine Guy Statue..Very scenic and romantic. I cannot wait to revisit the new facility and be pampered and spoiled all over....

Room Tip: Book Early and ask for a balcony room ....beautiful

This hotel has clean, spacious rooms. We booked through priceline so we got a really great rate. I had a "Hot Stone" massage which was alright, however the masseur kept dropping the stones, so it was hard to relax. Dinner in the restaurant was delicious. All things considered, it was a nice hotel and very affordable.

Loved the spa! Book in advance as it fills up. The place is rather average looking and is actually in a business park. If you look at the website, you would think they are in the heart of wine country. Theya re actually south of Napa the city and are not really close to the actual wine country. It feels like a business hotel that tries to bill itself as a retreat in wine country. It's not bad, I just think people ought to know what they are getting into if they go here. Oh, the rooms are pretty quiet if you unplug the refrigerator in the room. Hard beds. Friendly staff but ordinary food in the restaurant.

Thank you for your review! We apologize if our resort did not live up to your expectations. We sympathize that our location may not have been ideal for you. We do offer a complimentary shuttle service into downtown Napa in the evening! Please join us again and try our wonderful restaurant Siena for breakfast, lunch or dinner OR take a moment to sip some wine and bowl in our Crush Ultra Lounge. We hope you'll give us another chance, and look forward to seeing you soon!

This was my second visit to this resort and its definitely become my go-to spot for a Napa getaway.

I was only able to afford this hotel by booking a Room with No View special for approx $100/night. For a weekend in August this was a great deal. Otherwise - I likely would not spend over $200/night to stay at this resort only because I live less than two hours away. However for those making a farther trek - it would probably be worth it.

It's has the amenities of a resort - including two pools and two fitness rooms. Both are on the smaller scale but did not get too crowded when I utilized them.

The Spa is fantastic and average-priced. Also on the small side - but the steam room is by far it's best amenity and unlike any other steam room I've used.

The restaurant on site was not great - but with all the great spots in Napa and Yountviile, there is no need to eat at the resort.

Location is barely in Napa - but that can work to one's advantage if there is traffic on Hwy 29. Once you're on the property it definitely feels like your in Napa. There are great features like a walking trail through the vineyards, bocce ball court and a tasting room.

The Meritage Resort is in a great location in Napa at the south end of the Valley. It is well located for those interested in serious wine tasting excursions. They also have a magnificent Cave that has great wine tasting and one of the best spa's I've ever been to. It is the perfect place to return to after a long day in the vineyards. They also have a great breakfast there to get you ready for the vino. Enjoy!

My husband and I stayed here for our 2 year anniversary. The hotel was very nice and our room was great. The bed was really comfortable and all the amenities were provided. Our room had a jacuzzi bathtub, which was really nice and relaxing after a full day of wine-tasting.

The location itself wasn't that great. We were surprised it was located in a business park right off the highway, but it wasn't too far from all the wineries, so it wasn't too far out of the way. They have a spa and their own winery in a cave behind the pool, which was beautiful, and a trail that goes through their vineyards, which we went on a run through. We would stay here again if we found another good deal. Otherwise, it's pretty pricey.
