We had a detailed plan for a week of wine tasting. Things were scheduled and we were ready to go. Our B&B had a wine tasting each evening for the guests and one evening a group said they visited Sawyer Cellars and had a great experience. Since we were visiting Cakebread the next day, and Sawyer was right next door, we decided to drop in. We went to the tasting room and the first thing we told Candace was t6hat we were red wine drtnkers, so don't waste any whites on us. So, of course, the first thing she does is pour us a taste of Sauvignon Blanc and said please give this a try; it's not your ordinary white. I don't believe any of the five of us used the pour pot with that wine. We went on the tast the Cabernet, Merlot and Meritage. Two couples joined the Sawyer Cellars wine club after the tasting. We just got our first shipment 2002,3,4 and 5 Meritage and can't wait to drink it.
