“You get what you pay for but is it worth it to you?”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 14, 2014

Cole's is a truly fine dining establishment in downtown Napa. Parking can be a bit of a hassle. Try the Kohl's lot slightly south across the street for a space. The restaurant's ambience is nice but not exclusive. Service is great. Wine selection is extensive, while beer selection is limited with several of those I tried out-of-date; i.e., old. Meal portions are good, but for the prices charged you would expect that. Corkage fee is $25.00. If you buy any half or full bottle of their listed wines the fee is waived.
Bottom line: An excellent restaurant that charges way too much for what you get. However, the experience is worth it when you can afford it.

“Great food and service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 21, 2014

If you want to experience a great meal with wine, this is the place to be. Swordfish was cooked to perfection, others in our group had steaks that were amazing. The Banana Foster was so yummy. Wait staff was great and helpful. can't say enough good things.

“Thanksgiving 2013”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 7, 2014

We at first went o anotehr restaurant on teh Monday after Thanksgiving to discover tehy didn't serve dinner on Mondays only bar fare.
We didn't wan to end our California trip with bar fare. As we were stating to google restaurnts on the sidewalk a couple stopped asked that we put away our phones and tell them what we sere looking for. When we said restaurants they asked if we like steaks. Hy immediaty sent us to Coles Chop House , a short walk down the street.
There was a short wait for table . so we sat at teh well appointed, warm bar. The bartender was well groomed, spoke well, provided great service and fixed a good Martini.
The pleasantness carried over to the wait staff with good service and great attitude. The food was excellent as was the ambiance.
Not your ordinary chop house. ne to go back to when in the area

“overpriced...but then so is napa”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 4, 2014

i guess you either like napa or sonoma. we preferred sonoma. the differences in style to the two counties reflected in our review of this restaurant (the night before we went to a place called the girl and the fig in sonoma which set a higher standard). The food is good and you cannot go wrong but overpriced and not so special.
