Booking with Michael was super easy - and the communication was very good during booking and leading up to arrival.
The house itself is set on beautiful grounds in the middle of a vineyard - somewhat off the beaten path - which is good - and pretty close to Sonoma Square. It's a great layout, and will handle up to 12 people.
However, the house needs a little facelift. There are cobwebs and hornets nests under the entrance rafters and around the house. The deck is worn, and the BBQ grills are either not working or dirty. The trees have overgrown some of the house, there are very large branches hanging from some of the trees - posing somewhat of a danger should they fall from a decent gust of wind. The switch to the pool cover was broken - requiring us to take a screwdriver and open the box to "rewire" the switch to open the pool. Not a huge issue - but shouldn't be required of the guests - it should work. Found dirty socks left in on of the bed sheets from a previous guest that housekeeping obviously missed. Some of the mattresses are older - and well worn - as were the pillows - and not terribly comfortable.
Overall - we'd give it a solid 3.5 stars. With new bedding all around, maybe some proper closet organization rather than a clothes rack - a little TLC and a VERY thorough cleaning - both inside and out - it very easily could be 4.5 - 5 stars.
