“Perfect Place to stay in Napa”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 27, 2014

We recently stayed here and loved it! It was perfect! The cottage was so nice and we appreciated everything about it. It was great to have a kitchen with fresh ground coffee and cream in the refrigerator as well as many snacks including the fixings for smores! We built a fire in the evening and made smores after a lovely dinner at Ad Hoc (part of one of their package deals that I would recommend highly). The fresh juice and pasteries delivered in the am was wonderful. The cottages are in a great location, they are close to many wineries and restaurants. We trusted the feedback here on tripadvisor regarding the cottages and it was spot on. When we return to Napa again, I am confident that this is where we will stay.

We have traveled to the Napa/ Sonoma area many times. Whether you are with a group or traveling alone this is the best value with fantastic amenities and great location! The staff is wonderful and you can't beat the breakfast basket delivered to your door.

We recently stayed at the cottages of napa valley on our honeymoon and we were so glad we chose to stay there. We had a gorgeous cottage which had a fire, kitchen, lounge area and spacious bathroom. The lady on reception surprised us with a bottle of champagne to congratulate us on our honeymoon which was a nice touch. They provide nibbles, soft drinks and a bottle of wine in the fridge which are all included complimentary (which is rare in America) and your breakfast is delivered to your door in a basket from the local posh bakery. We upgraded to have a meal included at Ad Hoc, marshmallows to toast on the fire outside and free wine tasting at two local vineyards. The meal at Ad Hoc is excellent and is also a really highly rated restaurant in Yountville. We sat outside our lovely little cottage on the second night drinking our champagne and toasting marshmallows - it was delightful. All firewood is provided and topped up for you. The only tiny downside is that it is close to the road so you can hear the traffic whilst you're outside of the cottage but you can barely hear the traffic when you're inside and it feels really peaceful. Just down the road are some superb restaurants such as Mustard's grill, Redd etc.

We ventured out to Northern Cali after a particularly brutal year of work, looking to recharge in wine country.. and more than any wine and indulgence we had from our trip, it was the cottage that provided the much needed serenity that we were looking for. I felt confident from the trip advisor reviews that we would enjoy the cottage, but when we got there, we were surprised just how clean, how refreshing, and charming the cottage we were in was! Oh and that bed... wow, that's a bed. From our standard, typical bedroom bed - to what we experienced in our cottage with the luxurious bedding and sheets.....wow.

This place exceeded our expectations and it was our favorite part of the trip to Napa. We bumped into other guests of cottage as we were touring the wineries and all of us lit up when speaking of the cottages of napa. And thank you, for filing up a fridge (including a great wine) and place with some snacks that were all complimentary. I was not in the mood to check into another hotel where the water bottle in fridge is 10 bucks. And the breakfast can easily fill you up!

Just a great place and we hope to go back there one day!

This was the indulgent part of our honeymoon! The cottages truly offer a special home away from home for you and your loved one! The property is cloaked in beautifully old trees that add to its charm. You can have a driver for dinner (ours was the awesome Joe!), and you get breakfast delivered in a basket to your door! My husband and I still talk about the abundance of tasty wonderfulness we found waiting in the basket each morning! The best part of these cottages is that you feel you're the only ones around, and it adds to the romantic ambiance. It really was a wonderful stay here!

The Cottages are truly a special place to stay. Each cottage- we've stayed in the cozy king and romantic king are beautifully appointed and extremely comfortable. Mike, the proprietor, and his wonderful staff make this stay unforgettable. The cottages are rustic and elegant and all the treats that come with your stay trump any 5 star hotel in the area. Bouchon bakery baskets, snacks, wine, L'occitaine products... The list goes on. Drivers to take you into Yountville for dinner, private wine tours, outdoor patios and fire pit make just top it all off. After staying at the cottages for the first time three years ago, we haven't hesitated to come back each year.

Room Tip: Stayed in 3 different cottages each time and all were fantastic. I think cottage 6 was our fave.

The Cottages of Napa Valley was the perfect getaway location for our belated one year anniversary trip. Their moments of service began as soon as we stepped on property with the front desk attendant greeting us with a warm welcome where she discovered it was our anniversary celebration weekend and sent a bottle of Champagne to our cottage. Each cottage immediately makes you feel at home with a small kitchenette, living area, large bathrooms (with heated floors) and the most comfortable bed. There is also a Chiminea out front for you to make a fire in the morning or evenings with chairs for 2. Each morning we were greeted with a basket that had freshly baked Bouchon Bakery pastries and breads, honey, preservatives, orange juice and the New York Times. What a surprise and delight moment each morning! The staff was incredibly friendly and helped us set up our hot air balloon ride last minute.

Over all, I would recommend the Cottages of Napa Valley to anyone looking for a romantic and quiet experience as it is not in the main city center of Yountville. This would also be a great spot for a couples getaway or even a group of friends as all the cottages (9 total) face inward and have a courtyard that would be perfect for hanging out in the evening together. It is so close to Yountville and the main road to get to all of the vineyards...we were always 20 minutes or less to everywhere we wanted to go.

Room Tip: All of the cottages were great and cannot imagine any of them being of poor quality.
