Well, there were a lot of things wrong with this day spa. When i first walked in, no one said greeted me for a while. The reception area is small and a bit cluttered with all the things for sale. There was tea and cookies for my wait which was nice. When my massage therapist came out, she did not introduce herself, just brought me back to the room. The room was a little colder than i would have preferred - but my friend said the temparture was fine for her. Also, since the spa is on a fairly busy street and across the street from the jail, I could hear everything -- the sounds of construction, police sirens, rap music-- you get the idea.
My masseuse's hands were cold- quite the shock when they touched my back! She was also a bit unprofessional, engaging in conversation-- I like quiet during a massage. I had a hot stone massage and when she returned the stones to the water, she dropped them and there was a lot of splashing and the sound of rocks banging together. She also ran into the stool in the room and bumped into my arms and feet a few times.
To sum it up, the people are nice enough, though not as professional as I expected or have seen in other spas in Napa and the location doesn't lend itself to a peaceful experience - especially since they're charging the same prices as places that do provide more of a "spa like" atmosphere.
