“Beatiful Magical Place-With some minor tweaks could be perfect”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 26, 2013

This place is one of the most beautiful and stunning places in Napa. The cottages are spectacularly designed and don't think could be any more luxurious. Our cottage had an incredible outdoor area with an outdoor shower, two cots (with a heater above) and a table with two chairs. Totally private and totally peaceful. We showered outdoors daily and ate our breakfast out there as well. The interior is well designed and spacious as is the washroom with heated floors to boot.
The gym is well equipped and the adult pool is paradise.

The staff here are incredibly accommodating and could not be nicer.

Farm restaurant is also great. Beautiful decor. A solid wine list. Great food.

This place could be perfect with some minor tweaks. And as high end as this place is there is no excuse for anything short of perfection.

1. They were repairing or renovating a cottage across from ours. No excuse for ruining this magical picturesque setting by leaving outside on the porch the materials removed from inside for two days.

2. During the week the restaurant near the adult pool is closed such that if you want something to eat other than a bar snack the wait is 30-45 minutes.

3. Breakfast was problematic. On day one ordered scrambled egg whites to be slightly healthy totally greasy. Asked next day for no butter and only a little oil. Again came totally greasy.

I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Hopefully with some minor management tweaks this place could be totally perfect.

We stayed at Carneros Inn during July for our friends wedding. The hotel is just stunning, the view from the pool is very beautiful, you feel relaxed and well looked after the moment you step in reception. The rooms are lovely, the bathrooms huge with both an indoor and outdoor shower. The outdoor living area privide a 4 seat table & chairs as well as 2 sunloungers along with a patio heater. The rooms also have a very cute verandah.
I would recommend having breakfast in the restuarant near the pool, you can be seated outside if its not too hot and have a magnificent view over the vineyards. The donuts for brekky are a must, just delicious!
The staff are extremely accommodating and there is a great rule of no smoking or mobile phones around the pool area. Sun loungers are not to be reserved for longer then 15mins either which I thought was brilliant as so often you turn up to a pool and find someone has left a book and is no where to be seen for hours.
I couldn't recommend Carneros more and would hope to return in the future.

Wow! My husband and I had our 15th anniversary party at the Carneros Inn this last weekend. We could not have had a better experience! The format was a 45 minute cocktail reception with passed hors d'oeuvres, a 15 minute "gather around us" vow renewal officiated by my dad, a sit down dinner, DJ, photo booth and dancing for 50 people. Soo [--]was my event coordinator at the Carneros Inn. She and the superb, ultra professional staff anticipated every need and made suggestions to make the event go even more smoothly. They were always a step ahead of the event time line and were never even close to intrusive. They made me feel like they were having fun as well as us and our guests. Our event was in the magical Carneros Courtyard- so beautiful as the sun set and the courtyard lights came on. Soo made suggestions regarding the table size that i was sceptical of at first (10 person tables instead of 8) that made the dining room seem even more spacious than it already was and our guests had lots of room to walk around and visit each others's tables. At the end of the night Soo had all of my things boxed up, including my purse and some table card souvenirs so all I really had to do was say goodbye and thank you. I used the house florist, Sherylle Frank, for the centerpieces, wrist corsages and boutonnieres. I gave her really minimal guidance and her experience showed in the beautiful finished products! Thank you all for making it such a fun filled and stress-free evening!

This was our second trip to the Carneros Inn, and we absolutely loved it both times. The cottages, with heated bathroom floors, outdoor showers, private back yards, fireplaces, and more, are simply fantastic. The modern Americana farm style exteriors of the cottages blend surprisingly well with contemporary interiors. We thoroughly enjoyed the stunning views from the Hilltop Pool, and experienced excellent service throughout our stay. Winery tours and dinner reservations were handled perfectly by a wonderful concierge staff. They set up a fantastic day of tours for us followed by a few hours of relaxation by the pool and a massage at the spa. We can't wait to go back.

My wife and I spent 4 nights in Napa, our first visit in 25 years. The Carnaros Inn was one of the highlights of the trip. We had a premier cottage which was located in the middle of the property. It was easy walking distance from the Hilltop Pool or the Market. The room was great. A comfortable bed, fireplace and private patio were in the front of the cottage with a large bath at the rear. The shower opened to an outdoor private area if you wanted to shower outside. Everything was first class.

Room Tip: Stay away from the highway as it is busy

Recently returned from a fiftieth birthday vacation in napa and specifically the Carneros Inn. Fantastic place all around. Awesome staff, beautiful grounds, and very high end finishes in the rooms. Can't wait to return.

“While this hotel is perfectly placed for exploring Napa’s wineries, it is also a great destination in itself for a weekend of R&R. I love the fact that the decor doesn’t conform to the usual Tuscan/Napa style - instead, it is contemporary and cool, drawing on old-time Americana with corrugated iron roofs on barn-inspired cottages. I always stay in the Harvest Cottage as I just LOVE the outdoor soaking tub and fire pit: so fun with friends. The spa is one of the best in the area and uses local ingredients to create a truly relaxing and interesting menu of treatments and products. Local fare is also showcased in the restaurant, The Farm, which is worth a try even if you’re staying elsewhere.”
