Our group's first visit to the Inn, it is about 15 minutes from downtown Napa so a bit out of the way. The cottages are a interesting concept and the very large outdoor patio's and shower would have been more inviting in the nicer weather. The room we had seem quite small with the fireplace and TV off to the side where you would have to go out of your way to see the fire so we did not light it. TV is on a arm so you could turn it toward the bed if you wish. There were NO dressers for your clothes, only a nightstand with a couple drawers. The heated floor in the bath room was a nice touch. The shower with all its gagets was not very user friendly, we opted to shower outside in the rain on day two for ease and more space. It would be nice if you had children to entertain and wanted the connecting rooms with the shared patio. With nightly average of $550 we all decided we would explore other options in the future.

My wife and I stayed at the Carneros Inn last week for our anniversary. Upon arrival we were given a glass of wine and excellent service continued throughout the stay. The highlight for me was the deluxe cottage -- especially the outdoor shower. We enjoyed the privacy and beauty of the cottage as well as the surrounding landscaping. We bought wine at the general store and ate at all of the restaurants. We also had a great afternoon in the spa, which was great. I recommend all of it. It was not cheap, but it was well worth it.

Stayed at Carneros Inn for a friends birthday event. The check in area was a lot different. It was elegant, but felt a bit sterile. The staff were pleasant enough.
We got a cottage and it was lovely. It was a little hard to navigate the property with parking ect. The amenities that came with the room were fantastic. I loved the heated floors and private back yard. It was perfect for a honeymoon couple. Not too much privacy as cottages are close together.Not so much as others can see in, there is a high fence all around. More as in noise.
The property was top notch and I have great memories from the birthday event that our friend had that hosted over 100 people.
I wasn't aware of the high price of the room until check out. Not sure if I would stay again as there are many other great hotels at less than half the cost within a few miles.

We had a wonderful three night staying at the very end of September. It's great place to relax. Weather was gorgeous, could take full advantage of the gorgeous hill top pool and lush grounds. It's expensive but still a good value. Very comfortable indoor outdoor accommodations, posh indoor outdoor bath.

Little extras make a difference, if for nothing else for good will...bottled water and sodas always replenished in the cottage. Sounds crazy but if a deluxe are charging 5 star prices, try to find ways not to nickel and dime your guests...it goes a long way.
