“Fabulous romantic Inn”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 5, 2012

I have had a few very pleasurable weekends here. The rooms are very nice. It is certainly worth the extra for the larger rooms with a fireplace and outdoor bath. The garden areas are all very private and it is a great way to relax after a hard days wine tasting. The bathrooms are large and well equiped with two coffee machines (one espresso and one filter). The restaurants are both very good. I recomend taking one of the free bikes and cycling to the nearby Domaine Carneros (for Taittinger style champers) and with a little more effort up to Arteta winery. It will make your evening dip in the beautiful hilltop pool feel that much nicer. The concierge will book winery visits and suggest great schedules with barrel tastings and great meals. If you need a driver they will fix that for you too. Just enjoy.

Room Tip: Go for the rooms with a fireplace and an outside bath. Rooms with a view nice but all gardens are ve...

Stayed last June for a conference. Stayed in a fabulous two bed house. The rooms we re large, the fridge stocked with all the essentials you could need and the service was impeccable. My only complaint .. it is hard to find your way around after dark as it is not so well lit.

My third stay at Carneros and I know why I keep coming back. The resort is easy to get to, provides an understated yet luxurious experience, the accommodation is very comfortable and they have thought of everything. I stayed in a premium cottage complete with it's own private outdoor patio, fireplace, outdoor shower. Highly recommend paying the extra price. My two dogs were welcomed warmly. Best memories this time, morning sunrise swim at the hilltop pool complete with steam rising from the water, crispy Tortilla and poached egg breakfast, the surprise visit by a balloon NYE morning, exception dining experiences at both the bar in Boon Fly and of course new menu at Farm... The staff are gracious and accommodating. We stayed the last two days of 2011....such a memorable way to complete 2011...

Our stay at Carneros Inn was part of our 10th anniversary celebration and we could not have dreamt of a better stay from the moment we booked it.

A reservation agent wrote back requesting for the name of my partner and a concierge helped us with lunch and dinner reservations. As we couldn't get back to the concierge in time, they went the extra mile and reserved various time slots and restaurants so we could pick the one we wanted when we got there.

The cottage was amazing - comfy bed, chaise lounge, heated bathroom floor tiles, fireplace, patio, outdoor lounge chairs and a lovely view. The outdoor shower looked great too but was a little cold for us to give it a try. The only downside is that the heating system whirls quite a bit when it kicks in and I was conscious of it at times when sleeping (so I've taken off 1 point but if you're not a light-ish sleeper and not fighting jet lag, it'd be fine).

The property per se is gorgeous. It was peaceful, well kept, the gardens were beautiful even in winter; and let's not forget the 2 heated pools and hot tub. Wow! Everyone we met was professional, friendly and helpful. Service was top notch and we received a delicious treat for our anniversary celebrations.

It was hard leaving Carneros Inn. We could have stayed on and on and on and on...

My wife and I just finished our 4th stay at the Carneos Inn...and as always it was great. We go in december so can not comment on the pool really as its somewhat cold then...

This stay was just as great as our past have been...the service was top notch. On a rainy day we still got room service breakfast in 25 min...Room was always clean when we we came back in the afternoon. They were even kind enough to leave us a bottle of bubbly for our anniversary.

Spa - we both had a massage, which was very nice. There is only 1 thing i do not get, the spa is so nice, but the mens showers are just blah...feels like its the only corner they cut.

For those who really care about wifi - it can be slow (i didnt care, you can just plug in if you really need it)...also the tv channel set up makes no sense...but again i am not in napa to watch tv! just notcied one night when I was waiting for my wife to get ready and was watching tv.
