“Great atmosphere!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 23, 2013

My husband and I originally had reservations for dinner but got there a little earlier. We decided to sit at the bar and had a glass of wine. There are great specials - a red, a white, and a bubbly. My husband had the white and I had the red, both of which were fantastic. The bartender/waitress was very accommodating after we had told her we had reservations but were going to move them up and hang out at the bar. Luckily - we were so early we could hit up some of the happy hour specials. Definitely worth the visit. It seems that the happy hour specials are a hot commodity as everyone around us was getting multiple specials. We had three of them - all of which were GREAT.

We truly had a great time and can chalk this place up as one of our favorite spots. Centrally located and quality food. Would highly recommend!

“Disappointing. A negative Flavor Gastro experience”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed November 23, 2013 via mobile

This restaurant came highly recommended by our innkeeper. We arrived on time for 9 o'clock reservations and were seated promptly. It was definitely a good scene with a good turnover rate lots of people. Unfortunately that's the only good I have to say about this place. From what I understand the owner and his wife may not of been there that night or we just caught it on off night

We started with the risotto balls and a spicy pork flatbread. Risotto balls were okay but the spicy pork flatbread left so much grease on our plate it was unappetizing.

For the main course my friend had to kale salad which is very plain and I had the special tacos of the night which were crusted mahi-mahi. Considering they were the special of the night I was hoping for something flavorful and unique unfortunately it was just so plain it was as if it were negative food on my pallet. No flavor whatsoever. A simple sauce on crusted fish with some radish. Where's the lime ?Where's the cilantro? Anything would have made these better. I don't typically send feedback however I did this time. We were in and out after 45 minutes.

Our server was adorable when we were able to get her. We had to ask for our server to place an order I also had to ask for the server in order to get my food taken away. Not impressed with the service.

“Downtown Napa Gem”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 21, 2013

Stopped in @ 7pm on a weekday evening during the Napa Film Fest. Place was almost full but hostess found us a nice table even tho we said time was limited. Then waitress helped us narrow down the menu to find tasty appetizers, and a wine pro turned us on to a couple of crisp whites that went perfect with their toasted cheese bread slabs slathered with a subtle bone-marrow sauce. Could not have been a more perfect and filling snack. Prices for all were fair and service was extremely friendly and professional.

“YES! YES! YES!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 16, 2013

Our meal and entire evening was one of those serendipitous events! The atmosphere is warm & comfortable, but still contemporary & elegantly casual? We loved the variety & number of appetizers and small plates for sharing: each becoming "our favorite" ....until the next! Allison was probably the BEST server we've encountered in a long, long time. Although we brought wine, the sommelier was friendly & helpful with other questions about their wine list. We were celebrating 2 birthdays, were treated royally and will definitely return! Kudos to owner & chef Scott!
