“Fantastic Stay!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 2, 2012

We stayed here in August celebrating our 10 year Wedding Anniversary. The Inn was recommended to us by another B&B that was fully booked. We are so glad that the other B&B was not available. This place was perfection! We are a very picky couple and the Inn did not disappoint.

Let me start by saying that if you are resolved to stay in a typical B&B, old antique furniture and doilies, then this is not for you. If you are looking for a sleek, modern, calm place to land at the end of a busy day of wine tasting; then pick this place! The Inn is like staying in the pages of Pottery Barn catalog. Every square inch of the main house and guest cottages have been completely renovated, absolutely stunning. We also loved the fact that there are several individual tables for dining so you don't have to all eat at the same big table. Everyone can casually come in for a fantastic gourmet breakfast at their own pace and their own table.

We also were very impressed with the Inn keepers they were truly passionate about insuring that every guest was well taken care of. There was never a request that was too large or small. They had a tremendous knowledge of wineries and restaurants. Which proved imperative in securing those hard to acquire dinner reservations or winery tours. We can't wait to come back for a visit. Two thumbs way up!!!

This is a wonderful, newly renovated B&B, with modern, luxurious amenities set inside a classic elegant mansion. Breakfast was delicious and a perfect start to the day. Innkeeper/owner Karen was friendly, helpful and definitely enhanced our weekend stay at Napa with her suggestions. I would definitely return and encourage our friends to do so.

We recently spent a weekend in Napa and booked 4 rooms at this wonderful inn. Each room was tastefully decorated, the breakfast was delicious, and Karen and her staff gave us wonderful recommendations and helped with dinner reservations.

We also appreciated the availability of freshly brewed hot tea (throughout the day) and water bottles to use while out visiting wineries. We look forward to staying here again on our next visit to the area.

I stayed here for 2 nights with 6 other friends and everything was perfect. The accomodations are first class: softest sheets, plush towels and robes, large room, heated floors in the bathroom, etc. The breakfasts are delicious and generous. Tea, coffee and soda are available all day and each room has a welcoming 1/2 litre bottle of Frog's Leap zinfandel. There is a private room that is great for hanging out with my friends yet not disturb the other guests. The hosts are warm and have wonderful recommendations for almost everything: restaurants, wineries, hikes... The inn itself is tastefully decorated but makes one feel immediately comfortable. Absolutely loved my stay and look forward to a future visit.

My husband and I stayed two nights at the Inn on Randolph while on our honeymoon (in the Walker room) and I just wish we could have stayed longer. Karen bought a gorgeous old house walk able to downtown Napa which she told us herself was dated and cluttered (I believe it was previously known as the Hannah Moore house) and completely gutted it. The result is a simply but classically decorated b&b with all the extras you could hope for (for example, you could turn on heat in the bathroom floor and each room had its own individual AC controls) all while being true to the architectural elements of the original home--beautiful crown molding, big windows that let in lots of light, etc. My husband also spent quite a lot of time marveling over the bedding--in his words: "I've never cared what shees you've bought before but we must go get this mattress and these sheets."

Our interaction with the Inn was actually first with Sally--who was lovely and so very helpful. We booked at several of the wineries she suggested and she didn't lead us astray at all.

Breakfast was a treat both mornings. Very fresh and gourmet--without being fussy or too heavy. Fruit salad, yogurt and homemade granola, fresh juice, coffee, and tea were all self serve and then we were brought out a hot main course. The two breakfasts were probably two of the best meals we had on our honeymoon and certainly the best breakfast we had (and on a two and a half week Hawaii and Napa honeymoon, that's saying something).

We also really enjoyed and appreciated all the extras which really show how well this inn has thought everything out. There were water bottles to take out wine tasting, wine and chocolate left in our room for us, and tasting room coupons to get discounts at the (walkable!) tasting rooms in downtown Napa. Plus the gardens were beautiful and there was even a separate cottage with a fireplace and sofas for hanging out if you traveled with other couples.

We will be back--and hopefully next time with friends.

Most people will judge lodging based on what they have paid per night or their perceived value. The Inn on Randolph is not the cheapest option in Napa but you must evaluate that based on what you get. This was our 1st trip to the California wine country but not our 1st bed and breakfast. With that being said I cannot say this is the “Best” place to say in Napa, simply because I have not stayed at them all. What I can say is, I would not even try to explore other lodging in Napa if we return. I find it hard pressed to understand how anyone could be disappointed in this B&B. You would really have to be over the top picky to give this place a bad review. The owner is onsite and as friendly as can be. Her staff is visible and helpful without being intrusive. Location is very good and the rooms are Comfy, Comfy, Comfy. Heated floors, are you kidding me? Wow! Breakfast was delicious and creative. The only negative I can begin to think of was that our room (The Union) did not have a TV, but I knew that in advance. You can pay more to get a cottage that has one but unless you are a Napa regular, I can’t see why you would be in your room long enough to need one. Plus no T.V. plus a days worth of wine tasting = instance romance. Book with Confidence.

Room Tip: Do not book any activities in the area until you talk with Karen. She is a great resource!

We had a great time at the Inn on Randolph! Karen is a gracious host. The place was beautiful; breakfast was delicious; and the place is walking distance from downtown. Karen can help you with restaurant reservations, set up appointments with the wineries and other places to visit in the area. We are planning to visit again!
