“Very Enjoyable & Relaxing!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 26, 2013

Loved the Hotel Andaz. We were greeted at check-in with a glass of wine. Our room was clean, spacious and beautiful. Lovely bathroom with huge shower & lots of vanity space. The hotel is convenient to shopping, restaurants, and local cultural establishments. The restaurant serves a nice breakfast and there is a great bar in the lobby for hanging out at night. Our only gripe was that the valet parking attendant was very slow. We had to wait an average of ten minutes for him to get our car each day, which was very annoying. We will definitely stay at the Andaz on our next visit to Napa.

Room Tip: Request a room on a higher floor to avoid street noise. We were on the fifth floor and it was still...

I didn't have a chance to thank Elise, the front office manager, for making our stay at Andaz a pleasure. We couldn't find a decent looking hotel room in downtown Napa when we decided to go for a fall weekend's wine tasting on a weeks notice. Some hotels were fully booked and I refused to stay at others that looked old, tired or run-down. Fortunately, we were able to book a room at Andaz for one night and a few days later another room opened up to give us our 2 night stay. Reading reviews about the hotel, I felt comfortable that the hotel was clean and modern with all the amenities but feared that getting one of the last available rooms and arriving late on a Saturday night would leave us in a noisy room above the back dining room or next to the open-pit grill on the second floor.

My fear was confirmed when we arrived in our room as a party raged downstairs below our room which was also just feet away from the 2nd floor outdoor deck with its bar and open pit fire. Fortunately, rain cancelled the outdoor fire pit and bar on the Saturday night. When I complained to the manager about the downstairs noise, she was very understanding and apologetic and gave us a courtesy discount to make up for the inconvenience. She had also taken the initiative to get us a table at a restaurant across the street (which had good food and an excellent atmosphere) simply based on our enquiry about places to eat that we had made when we checked in and also gave us welcome drinks.

The concierge was very good at booking us a taxi for our wine tour on the Sunday and the room for our second night was much better - as clean and comfortable and quiet as one could expect. Breakfast was excellent, fresh and tasty. I have to say that overall, the staff were possibly the friendliest that we have ever come across (room service, breakfast room, ipad-front desk, concierge and bar), perhaps due to the boutique atmosphere and small town Napa milieu. My only slightly negative comment would be that our bathrooms seemed more appropriate for an elderly care facility with the huge gap sliding doors and shower only, and that just at the time when we needed bell boys to put our luggage into the cab, none could be found. Otherwise, as long as you avoid second floor courtyard rooms on a Saturday night, you can't go wrong staying at Andaz Napa.

Stayed here for a girls weekend with two adjacent rooms and we had a great time! Go to the outdoor terrace with fire pits and a bar and curl up on the couches drinking wine with friends. The restaurant downstairs had a fabulous morning breakfast with so many options that changed based on the market and season. The overall decor of the place was great and unique for a hotel. I will definitely stay here again!

Stayed here while on a trip with family to CA. Unique, very comfortable hotel-we had a mini suite which had a small sitting area, double fireplace and 2 TV's. Wonderful walk in shower, 2 sinks....comfortable bed and pillows. Great toiletries and robes, Slept really well each night. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty, we only ate there 1 day and had the Strawberry Rhubarb Pancakes which were scrumptious! They have a terrace with fire pits and a bar together with comfortable seating; a great place to sit in the evenings. The only negative was that we had a room facing the terrace and that meant not only was there an issue with privacy but it was a bit noisy when they had the live music. However, it did not spoil our stay as it ended at a reasonable time. Overall, very impressed and would definitely stay there again when in the area.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the street so that you avoid overlooking the terrace.

My bf and I stayed here for weekend away in Napa and it was the perfect choice. To start, the location is perf. Very close to many restaurants and in walking distance. The hotel is basically right downtown. The hotel itself also has a really nice little restaurant and an awesome bar. The rooms are very nice and spacious which can be hard to find. Everything was clean and comfortable and the service was great. Any time we needed a recommendation, we got a good one.

I was really looking forward to my stay at the Napa Andaz. It was our 30th anniversary and I used some of my Gold points to stay here. I earned these points as an event planner and have booked Hyatts for groups of 200-800 in the past.

We were placed on the 2nd floor on a Saturday night. I did not feel great after a day of travel so we decided to skip dinner and stay in and relax. Well no relaxing due to the live music. At 6:45 pm I asked if we could move. I was told that was not possible because of our room type. I assume this meant that we had a free goldpoint room and I felt that I was being penalized. I was also told that the music would end at 9 ( it ended at 9:30).

I realized only after reading trip advisor tonight that we missed out on the complimentary wine tasting in the lobby. No one ever mentioned this when we checked in or offered us a refreshment of any sort.

Perhaps the music would not have bothered me so much if I had been offered some wine at 4 when checking in!!

After some "let downs" in NY and LA in the Andaz there I was refreshingly surprised from the moment I arrived. Competent, friendly, casual, yet professional people await you and make you feel home and welcome the moment you set foot in this place.
The rooms are nice and spacious, room service excellent and fast.
Only downfall was the noisy A/C in the room and the spa outside the property. Otherwise 5 stars.
