“Beautiful Room”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 31, 2013

Our room was beautiful, I loved the fireplace, bath tub and shower. It is the perfect hotel for honeymooners or a romantic get away.

The restaurant for breakfast needed lot's of help. Service was really slow, coffee terrible and no one checked back on our table of 5. We had to ask for water a few times and wave to get service attention. Basic things like silverware, toast were forgotten.

I stayed here with my boyfriend for one night in July along. We booked a regular king room and splurged online for the $52 deal to upgrade to the large loft terrace room. We were lucky and had the upgrade available and it is worth every penny for a luxurious romantic evening after a day of Napa's vineyards. Certainly the most beautiful hotel we've stayed at and the staff were all top notch.

My first time staying in an Andaz property and when I return, I would stay here for home base for winery tours. Valet was quick and friendly.. Upon entering lobby, it's very comfortable, like a living room. Free massages (in a massage chair) as well in the afternoons that was a nice touch. No formal front desk; the associates greet you, offer you a glass of wine and to sit down. They chat you up and check you in on their iPads, all while explaining the hotel and area.

Our room was spacious and super comfy, like most others describe. Large living space with couch, desk, chairs next too bedroom, also spacious. Bathroom very large, nice walkin rainfall shower, with a wooden bench. Beds super comfy...hard to get out of. We were lucky to have a terrace that overlooked the 2nd floor outdoor bar area, which did not offer any unwanted noise at night. Fridge stocked and all snacks and sodas and water complimentary. Liquor and wine available in room as well at typical hotel prices. Wifi free, but we didn't use.

Outdoor terrace bar cozy with fire pit. One thing to note is cocktails are non traditional liquors (ie no name brands) and a bit pricey, but good nonetheless.

Concierge cheerfully provided breakfast suggestions around town. In house restaurant was busy, so assumed it was good, but very limited menu for slightly high prices. We opted to go local.

Check out same as check in, casual conversation with the iPads. Staff very friendly and attentive in the lobby.

A different style of hotel, very refreshing!

Room Tip: If you can get a room with balcony, it's nice to relax on with a glass of wine. Not many in hot...

Very stylish, hip hotel in the middle of downtown Napa. The welcoming glass of wine is a nice touch and will serve you well as you try to figure out where the front desk is (hint, there is none...just some dudes with iPads). The rooms are very modern but still comfortable and all snacks and soft drinks in the minibar are on the house. The gripes I had were; the thin towels; the lack of a top sheet between the fitted sheet and the comforter; our room not having been serviced after bring out all day; and the noise level on a Saturday night.

I absolutely loved this hotel. From the modern aesthetic, to the complimentary mini-bar (non alcoholic beverages only, but constantly replenished with water, sparkling water, soda, and juices), to the farm-to-table breakfasts. It was all wonderful. Service was super-friendly and unpretentious.

We checked in super late at night (more like morniing) due to a delayed flight - but check-in was a breeze via ipad. Self-parking is complimentary around the back of the hotel on the 3rd level of the parking structure.

We reserved a King suite and it was great - compact but still plenty of room. Nice large mirrors, a 2-way gas fireplace that can be enjoyed from the bedroom and living area, and best of all, an amazing soaking tub in the bedroom. The bathroom was also very long, with a huge rainshower stall, dual sinks and toilet done in a white-on-white color palette. The fireplace is wonderful and we used it every night because even in the summer, Wine country does get cool at night.

Loved the hardwood floors, the sleek yet luxurious decor, oh and of course, the mini-bar, which we were eternally grateful for after our delayed flight and lack of sleep. The beds are super duper comfortable as well, with nice fluffy duvets.

Since I am a Hyatt Platinum member, we were able to get a high floor which was nice and quiet and late check out at 2pm which was great.

Breakfast was also included in our rate, and instead of just a continental breakfast, it was basically a $50 credit per day per room which was more than enough for the 2 of us to partake in hearty breakfasts at their Farmer's Table restaurant. The buffet is offered on weekends, and it's yummy. Not a huge selection but all your basics, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, large assortment of fresh pastries and breads, as well as nutella bread pudding, fruit, oatmeal, cereal, yogurt, etc. The nice part was that even with the buffet, you can special order pancakes as well at no extra charge and if you like your eggs a certain way you can definitely get those as well. It's fantastic! We got a short stack of the strawberry rhubarb pancakes and they were goooood. The homemade granola is also pretty awesome.

Service at the restaurant was a little bit slow, but we were ok since we got to chill a bit and enjoy our coffee and our meal. Wineries don't open that early in the morning anyways. :)

After a day of wine tasting it was nice to come back to a turned-down bed, a roaring fire, and that spendid tub. The location in downtown Napa is nice too, it's a short walk to the Oxbow market where lots of yumminess awaits, and there are a bunch of stores, restaurants and tasting rooms as well in case you don't feel like driving. Also Yountville with all it's amazing restaurants is only 15 minutes away by car.

Really enjoyed our stay here, and I thought it was well worth the price. I wish however, that they had a pool. We used the gym facility next door though, and it is a large full service gym. Also the small touches in the lobby for guests make is special, like the complimentary juice shot in the mornings, the flavored ice waters throughout the day, and the little dispenser of sunscreen before you walk out the front door. Love this because I forgot to bring any!

Love the Andaz brand, and can't wait to stay at the new Maui Andaz this fall!

Room Tip: Check for special rates like AAA because it may include breakfast which can make it a better value o...

I will be checking out of the Andaz Hotel in Napa in a few minutes but wanted to write this review, on free WiFi, before I left. I was only here one night but the stay was perfect, not something I say casually.
From the greeting at check-in with complimentary wine to the staff, this is what travel should be like. The room I have is spacious with a large bathroom and hardwood floors in the living space. How nice to not have carpet! There is complimentary bottled water in the rooms. The gym is next door, complimentary and decent.
I had breakfast in the restaurant after my workout. The goat yogurt with fruit and grains was delicious. I am sorry to be leaving so quickly.

Hats off to the designer of this hotel, which is modern with a lots of old wood and charming details. Everything is right in this hotel, from the amazing two person stand alone tub, to the rainforest showerhead, great lighting and bathroom area and PERFECT bed--comfy with great linens AND great pillows. Rooms are a good size, big TV that swivels from sitting area to bedroom, full length mirror, common areas are wonderful, glass of wine upon arrival, juices/water always out in reception, nice bar area....truly an amazing hotel. it is in the newer, quaint area of Napa as well, with lots of new trendy restaurants within walking distance. If you want to stay in Napa, this is the place to be.
