My husband and I just returned from a visit to Napa, and based on recommendations from this site, we booked two nights at the Candlelight Inn. All I can say is WOW! We were totally delighted with our experience. The Inn is charming. The innkeepers, Wendy and Mark, are friendly and totally committed to ensuring that their guests are comfortable. They have a real attention to all the little details, as well as the big ones. We were celebrating my birthday, and on arrival we found chilled champagne and a birthday card in the room. Totally unexpected and much appreciated! Besides being the consummate hosts, Wendy and Mark are also extremely knowledgeable and helpful, with excellent suggestions for wineries and restaurants worth exploring. Although the room we stayed in was small, it was adorable. The bed was one of the most comfortable I have experienced away from home, and we loved the 'Candlelight' bathrobes. From our room we heard absolutely NO noise during the nights we were there. As others have mentioned, the 3 course breakfasts were phenomenal, Mark is some cook! And the chocolate cake and snack plates which were there for the taking were welcome after a long, hard day at the wineries. The pool and grounds were lovely and relaxing. I can't say enough wonderful things about this place. We travel quite a bit, but this was our first trip to Napa. It couldn't have been better, and we definitely hope to return. When we do, we will certainly stay at the Candlelight Inn!
