“No biggie”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 26, 2012

We LOVE Truppianos...brother to Rustico and decided to give the sister's place a try. Gotta say, not a big fan. Decor is average...food is average and the service was horrible. With so many places in Temecula and Murrieta, especially good italian, restaurants really must stand out to receive a return visit....and Rusticos was just average. Solid menu, but nothing special or that would demand a return visit. 10% discount for smart card holders

“Popular Restaurant in an Unpopular Location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 11, 2012

I've reviewed Rustico's food from catered events at a Temecula winery but last night my husband and I were in the area and decided to stop by the restaurant. It's a beautiful restaurant. While you wait for your entree, you're treated to fresh baked homemade garlic bread that is not overwhelming with garlic that you can dip in their scallion oil and balsamic vinegar (you'll love it). We had the gnocchi w/pancetta and sundried tomatoes, and the Italian Palermo sausage with peppers and tomatoes, accompanied with towers of scalloped potatotes. Portion size is perfect and the price very reasonable. Great wine selection, too. Excellent food and service, although they seemed to be a little understaffed this evening. Rustico's is not located in a well populated area surrounded by lots of strip malls, but it's located in an area where the local neighborhood families can enjoy a great Italian meal and not have to drive all the way into "town". Sounded like a few of the tables were regulars which I thought was nice.

“More ordinary than others”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 1, 2012

Traditional American Italian food that is more ordinary than others in the area. Try Raviolis on the other side of town instead, if you want gourmet Italian for the same prices. The standard fare menu has classics that are nothing to write home about. Forget the Lasagna. Other entrees are ordinary at best.

“Great date night in unusual location.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 22, 2012

Went here the day after Valentines. Did not realize that reservations were preferred; however, they took care of us once we were sat. Food was excellent; get the lobster mac & cheese! You could tell that management took their time with hiring staff, as the service was what you would expect from a high end restaurant.

“A Fav of Masia de Yabar”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 14, 2012

We have not been to their restaurant but plan to visit very soon. Rustico's has catered many wine club member pick up parties at Masia de Yabar Winery and everyone raves about them! We love their food and their staff.
