“Hot, hot hot hot hot hot, like 120F, smelly, loud.”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed August 27, 2014 via mobile

Terrible, craphole, smelly, I was on third floor and when the elevator opened it was like a blast furnace, the upper floor was hotter than any place I've ever been, no air movement, smells rank.
The room was no better. It took my breath away. I put the AC on full blast and left for 3 hours, when I returned it was not much better.
Furthermore the TV, while not really important to me, really sucked. The one in this room is at least 25 years old, a big old boxy curved screen piece of crap.
Come on, heart of Silicon Valley, tech center of the universe, and the owners of this overpriced dump can't even invest one cent on upgrades? Never ever ever unless you like to feel like you are in the Sahara desert with no escape from the heat in your room. And don't even think that you can open the window, it did slide open about 4 inches, useless to help cool the room in the fresh air, horrible loud road noise as garbage trucks and hot rods cruise up and down the street all night. Don't expect a nice relaxing sleep before an important meeting. One of worst hotels I've ever stayed in.

Pros:
Close to lots of shops/restaurants
Price
Friendly front desk staff
Free wi-fi
Free parking
Felt safe

Cons:
Old rooms
Phone/lamp didn't work
No elevator
Barely any amenities in room (not even a cup)
Free breakfast horrible! Greasy sausage, eggs with America cheese, stale breads (like it's been sitting in the refrigerator); cereal tasted like generic supermarket brand, awful coffee

Hotels should provide two things: comfortable beds, and quiet. This hotel is very loud.

The first room I was put it suffered long periodic bouts of loud mechanical humming. I think this was coming form the ice machine, which was crammed under a stairwell against the walls so that the sound transduced directly into the structure.

I moved to a better room and managed to sleep the first night. Now I'm in that new room something outside the exterior window of the room is making an incredible mechanical noise. I think it's coming from the car wash station on the other side of the parking lot. This is a complete failure of one of the two important aspects of a hotel.

The beds aren't too great either.

The one redeeming factor is that the staff did give me a new room when I asked for it.

The breakfast is pretty minimal: cereal, crappy juice, and crappy pastries.

The AC was on full blast when I got to my first room, making it so cold that I had to turn on the heater in August. This is so so stupid.

Room Tip: Get a top floor room to escape some of the building's internal mechanical noise.

Below average room
Ancient TV (older than me for sure)
No staircase
Below average breakfast

With all that they charged $300 !!!

Seriously, I booked something in a hurry, and I was hoping to find a good place to stay for the price that they charged, and it turned out to be one of the worst hotel that I have ever stayed for that price.

I searched a long time to find a hotel that was reasonably priced for the area and this one was excellent value. The area was safe, the amenities were good for a 3 star hotel, the hotel was clean and well-managed. The room appeared to be upgraded so no complaints. Pool and hot tub worked well and appeared to be cleaned although the pool had some staining on the bottom that looked like rust. It was safe for younger children as the shallow end was 2 feet deep. Breakfast options were substantial and included: eggs and sausages or meat patties, hash browns, toast, bagels, cream cheese, cereal, pastries, fruit cocktail and one kind of fresh fruit as well as coffee, hot chocolate, tea, and juice. They changed the egg/meat options on the second day. It was kept well stocked until closing time and they did not hover to kick you out at the end time which was appreciated. There was a seating area outside for breakfast as well as inside. (The only disadvantage was that smokers would smoke nearby outside so non-smokers who didn't want to breathe in the smoke were restricted to inside.) The manager agreed to match online price for the second night without argument which was also appreciated. Exercise room was sufficient with 2 treadmills and 2 elliptical trainers. Laundry room was available although I did not use it.

My travel agent booked this hotel for me as the Summer prices at my usual hotel were sky high.
I was really sad after reading the reviews that I was staying at the Hotel Aria.

I arrived in the evening and was a bit skeptical of the property. The two front desk clerks were fantastic! I was put in the main building which is only accessible through the main entrance.m I felt very safe in this building. I am a female and hate to feel unsafe at a hotel. There are adjacent buildings which would be fine for a couple/families.

The internet is good and comes with the room. The breakfast is ok.... I wish the had real eggs...or hard boiled eggs ...or yogurt.

There is a CVC and a Safeway ...plus other shopping within a few blocks.

The room is not state of the art... But totally fine. I am a room snob. The bed was very clean, comfortable and inviting. Girls , bring your own shampoo and conditioner as they offer a low end combination product. The air conditioner was quiet. The pool area is nice and clean.

There are a lot of hotel choices in the area... Many are so expensive. I would not complain if I was booked at the Hotel Aria again. The cookies are delicious , rooms clean and the guys at the front desk were superior!!!!

Room Tip: Main building as I worry about safety.
