Found a hotel, now my lady & I needed some sustenance. Short walk to Embarcadero and , lo and behold, Dutchman's Seafood House. My lady, being from NL, and myself, having lived there, both agreed we had to go in. Got a great seat outside - sheltered from the wind by a glass wall and from the seagulls by an umbrella. Turns out is indeed run by a Dutchman whose parents moved to the SU when we was a boy. Meneer van Beurden was gracious enough to come out and talk to us for a few minutes - a little personal touch that goes a long way. We both had the chowder - phenomenally good as was the local beer. Well worth a stop for a bite. Eet smakelijk y'all.
