The decor was a little 'busy' in our room, but it was large enough for the two of us, clean and welcoming. The rooms are as advertised so by reading their promotional material you will get an accurate description.

Kathy on the front desk was a real gem and the lady doing the wine tasting (sorry, I have forgotten her name. I'm a man, what do you expect!) was informative and interesting. She was also well traveled and so had many tales to tell, which made this the friendliest hotel wine tasting we had in California.

The breakfast was a continental style buffet and there is porridge making facilities if you prefer something hot Newspapers are available in the lobby.

Morro Bay is a quite and friendly town and is not recommeded if you are after some night life. It was great for us as we wanted a day to relax after some hectic times in LA and on our road trip to San Francisco. The Hotel was perfect for that. The sea front is a block away and the town is a short stroll in the other direction. The shop keepers on the sea front are all very friendly and all have the time of day for you. All in all, this is a fantastic relaxing place to stay and one I can't recommend highly enough. Book this Hotel with cofidence.

I cannot even begin to tell you how amazing our trip was. Everyone was so sweet and took care of everything for us. I took my boyfriend away for his birthday and they set up the entire room with balloons and roses. They set up a wine tasting tour for us. We had a blast! Just be careful with the tub, you only need a few bubbles if you plan to use the jets, we overflowed the tub ha ha. I recommend the ascot suites to everyone who is looking for a getaway. It was the trip of a lifetime. And to all of the people working at the Ascot Suites thank you for all that you did. My boyfriend recently passed away and this was the last trip we had together, so I am forever grateful to you all for making it amazing! It is definately one of my favorite memories that I have of him.

Pleasantly surprised - hotel is very clean, quiet and as advertised. The room isn't huge, wine pour was nice and breakfast available per times announced. Newspapers were available in the lobby and front desk was accommodating and nice about answering questions. Roof garden was not special but did provide a viewing 'deck'. Cozy fireplace, jacuzzi tub was relaxing and hotel provided lots of pillows.

I took my wife to the Ascot Suites as a belated Valentines Day gift last weekend. I travel a lot for work and am very picky about hotels, and the Ascot Suites exceeded my expectations. The room was beautifully decorated and clean.

The service of the hotel was especially outstanding. We were very much looking forward to the gas fireplace, however could not get it to start. 10 minutes after calling down, the front desk supervisor came up to personally get the fireplace started for us.
