“The Inn at Morro Bay is Magic”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 6, 2013

You’ll love the Inn and Morro Bay. Having stayed there more than once I can share that this is a very special place right on the water of Morro Bay. The staff is very customer focused with a warm welcome when you arrive and ongoing greetings during your stay. The rooms have been beautifully remodeled and have the most comfortable beds I have ever slept on. The bay view dining room and lounge staff are wonderful, serving up your favorite adult beverages along with a chef inspired menu for dinners, breakfasts and Sunday brunch. I used the term “magic” to describe my last stay there it was so delightful. It’s a great value for the price. Try the Inn at Morro Bay. You’ll be glad you did!

We have a tradition of spending Thanksgiving on the coast and this year instead of taking the Motorhome we decided to spend one night at a hotel and have dinner at a local restaurant. I must admit I was really happy with our choice. This is a very comfortable place to stay with a remarkable view of the Bay. It is right on the water with very nice grounds and a tremendous staff (very friendly). Our room price included breakfast at their full service retaurant and was very good. we were very happy with our stay and will definatly return.

Room was nice sized with a fireplace that did double duty as the heater for the room. Bed was very comfortable, but was dark in the room. Couch, desk and large granite sink counter. The bathroom was only a shower stall but was very clean. It was a bit difficult to haul the luggage up the stairs in the rain but room was a nice respite.

Room Tip: Ask for a bay view.

We were unhappy with our original room. The front desk clerk graciously re-assigned us a room. This was an upgrade. The room was exceptionally spacious, providing us a view of the bay and spectacular sunset. The room had a fire-place, sliding doors onto a patio and double sink bathroom. Decor was so outstanding with inlaid slate mosaic floor tiles and plantation shutters over all the windows. I will be back!

The Inn at Morrow Bay is a delightful hotel right on waters' edge with complete views of Morrow rock, the bay and the Pacific Ocean. From check-in with personal, friendly reception to easy check-out, this resort is quiet, clean and friendly. The room was very large with a fireplace and balcony. If there is one small comment, it would be that the bathroom was pretty small but well furnished. The resort has a restaurant and bar. Our reason for visiting the Inn was a business conference, so my only experience with the food is that of banquet food. If you judge the food by the banquet luncheon, you would give them very high marks. I have rarely had a banquet lunch so flavorful. The bar had live music on Friday, making it very lively and a lot of fun. Try to sit in front of the fireplace on a cold night or the glass windows as the sunsets over Morrow Rock. The Inn is right next to a state park, golf course and marina giving you ample places to walk to. Town is a very short drive. We have already planned our stay for 2014.

Room Tip: Spend a little more and get the bay front suite.

It was the last day of a long road trip down the coast with my aunt and uncle from Germany. We wanted to splurge on a nicer hotel. We found the Inn on a quick search from my phone before we arrived at Morro Bay. We were not disappointed. The room was very clean with a great view and a cozzy fireplace. The staff was very friendly, the gal that made our reservation was very helpful and included breakfast to help make our last night on the road very special. Wow was that a good breakfast! The view from the dining room, the decor, the food and the service was exceptional! Also the surrounding property was interesting. We went on a short walk to the south by the golf course saw wild turkeys and other wildlife and there is a great view of the bay from on top of a rock mound by some sort of a museum right there. Thanks for a great stay!
