great price and unbelievably clean....a five for the price value relationship....dated but attention to one important detail combined with price equals a solid business model.....owner very nice as well!....fifty cents for a bottled water in the office....great idea....especially in california

Cozy touches and lovely are great words to describe this motel. The shower is vintage California, loved seeing it, and LOADS of ready HOT water!. Excellent customer service. They are in the process of replanting an area by the office. Already there are plenty of flowers, but like their garden sign says: flower power!

stayed here for one night in october. this is a lovely little motel. very simple, extremely clean, the bedding was extremely clean and new, the rooms were updated and spotless so even though it's a vintage motel there was none of the residual stuffiness you can get with older rooms. no breakfast but there are two great coffee shops a block away. it's right in the center of town so you can walk to the restaurants, the harbor, morro rock and the beach. eat at the harbor, walk right to the end to where the harbor hut and the docks are, don't bother with the restaurants in the "town", they seemed uniformly average with deep fried frozen fish. our room was around $50 with tax, just a fantastic deal at a lovingly-kept family run establishment. five stars for all round value

We chose this motel based on Tripadvisor reviews and were not disappointed. We had a friendly, efficient welcome and the room was clean and comfortable. We liked the cosy touches and would have liked to have stayed for more than one night.

While my GF was driving to Morro Bay, I got online to search for hotels in Morro Bay. Came up with this one.
Didn't not regret it!
Quiet, cozy place, cheap and run by a sweet Asian couple, who were very nice to us.
They didn't have a king bed available, so we stayed in a double beds room.
The shower was a little funny with pink tiles :)

I recommend.

We came here following the other reviews, and we were not disappointed! We have been travelling for 10 days and this has to be one of the nicest we have stayed in. The room is very clean, has everything you need (microwave, fridge etc) and is nicely decorated - it is nice to see something different to the usual bland motels, and I loved the teacups! Good location not far from the waterfront. Would definitely recommend.

On a road trip through California this place stands out as being not only the best value but also being exactly as described despite being by far and away the cheapest. Unobtrusive and friendly service. Totally clean, freshly decorated room, comfortable, quiet and excellent location. Flatscreen TV, microwave, coffee maker and fridge. Only minor complaint was we would have liked more comfortable pillows. If you are looking for a budget stay you really can't go wrong here.
