“Excellent!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 9, 2014

Very good service, incredible food. We had clam chowder, scallops, and ahi. So very well prepared and presented - beautiful and delicious! Great service by Jennifer. 5-1/2 stars on a rating of 5 stars. We'll definitely be back when next in the area. Actually was one of the best meals we've had in a restaurant, on a par with the Ritz!

“Great Fish”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 22, 2014

The fish was very well cooked - expertly! But the sides were not up to the same standard: just mixed vegetables steamed. We had the lunch plate so no potatoes. The bread was very good - not standard restaurant rolls. The have butter and brought clarified butter for the fish on request - not margarine.
Their wine list is good too.

“Host needs to learn his place!!!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 22, 2014 via mobile

I have been a resident and client of The Galley for more than 20 years. The Anderson Brothers are pillars of Morro Bay.

We arrived at The Galley to enjoy dinner tonight with guests from out of town as we consider The Galley to be a premiere restaurant in Morro Bay. The service by Jennifer was incomparable. The meals and wine beyond compare. However, the host coming to our table halfway through our meal and shushing our table and "ordering" us "to keep it down" while we were having a JOYFUL and festive reunion with our out of town friends was beyond embarrassing. It was beyond necessary. It was disturbingly RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL.

TheGalley, Owner at Galley Seafood Grill & Bar, responded to this review, March 22, 2014
As the owner of The Galley I, and my managers, are 100% committed to making sure that ALL guests have an enjoyable experience when dining in our establishment. Using inappropriate language, and/or speaking so loudly that you are disturbing the experiences of other guests, is rude and disrespectful and will not be tolerated. In this case we were dealing with both issues, and guests at an adjacent table complained and requested to be seated elsewhere in the restaurant.

We would never “order” anyone to do anything, however we may politely ask a guest to keep the volume down and to stop using inappropriate language if they are doing so.

“Excellent & Charming”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 20, 2014

A beautiful view of the bay, a cozy restaurant, an extensive wine list and great food. Every plate that was served at the table was top notch. We went in the winter, Morro Bay was relatively empty, but the restaurant was full. Reservations recommended.

“An excellent dining experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 17, 2014 via mobile

We visited this well-known restaurant on March 16th and enjoyed a very memorable dinner. The restaurant has a very nice view of Morro Bay Rock and the sun set as we got seated. The menu was very extensive and we both chose the clam chowder, a delicious starter followed by the scampi and the swordfish for my wife. Both of the entrees were very tasty and accompanied by excellent rice pilaf and grilled asparagus. We had a half bottle of Chardonnay from the adequate wine list.
Our waiter, Mitch, was very professional and very attentive. Upon arrival, we were greeted very warmly. It is clear that this restaurant deserves a high rating by Trip Advisor.
