4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 30, 2013

Typical state park prices, reasonable and close to all the entertainment. Excellent for bicycles and family trips.

“Awesome views, while exploring the flora and fauna Morro Bay has to offer”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 19, 2013

My family wanted me to tell you Disneyland was SO much better, but then that would be lying. The beauty of untouched Morro Bay is exquisite, and the location cannot be beaten. Bird- watching is a favorite, and watching for wildlife keeps kids entertained, so you don't have to listen to " I want a juice box" repetitively. Black Hill, really Morro Bay's only short hiking spot, provides amazing views all the way to Montana De Oro and the back bay, just try not to get poison oak. All in all, It would be worth skipping Disneyland to come to Morro Bay, just don't tell my dad I said that!

“Good beach, lots of parking”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 10, 2013

Lots of parking, great view of Morro Rock, and view of otters cavorting. You can walk all the way from Morro Bay to Cayucos on the broad, sandy beach.

“Great location. Beautiful park”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 9, 2013

I haven't even left this place yet but just wanted to submit my review early. I am here for 3 days on full hookups with my camper van. The park is beautiful, the smell of eucalyptus hits you every time you step outside your RV. Sites are nicely spaced with trees and shading. Each site has it's own stone grill area, picnic bench. On arrival the park ranger was most accommodating and allowed me to choose from the available spots. While here I have sunbathed on a nearby secluded beach which has a stunning view of the famous Morro Rock, hiked the Black Hill (a strenuous climb but the view is worth it when you get to to the top), cycled up to the downtown area and checked out the rock (saw seals and otters playing in the bay as well as a whole variety of birds) and generally really enjoyed the environment. The camp is set next to a great, well maintained golf course. Showers were basic but clean and hot. It would have been nice to have had wifi and a swimming pool but I guess that's asking too much from a State Park! I had a lovely time here and would definitely return and also recommend to other visitors who are considering staying here.

“Part of California's Natural Beauty”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2013

Morro Bay is one of California's great treasures. It is unique and beautiful. I've been there when the weather was gray and overcast and when it’s been sunny and clear. In either case, it is a beautiful place to see. You can take a hike or go jogging along the many trails or just take in the natural beauty. At nearby Morro Bay, you'll find many restaurants and other sightseeing adventures to take advantage of. While I have availed myself of the great food in several of the restaurants, my favorite pastime is to settle back with a glass of good wine and appreciate all the beauty Morrow Bay has to offer.
