“Morro Bay Estuary”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 16, 2012

Take a walk through the Elfin Forrest from Los Osos to get inside the estuary. Boardwalks and great views that can only be seen from this hike. Take a lunch and some water and enjoy the day. You'll love it.

“It's only going to get better”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 12, 2012

Morrow Bay National Estuary must be one of the most perfect places on Earth where nature and man meet. What I love about this place is that you don't have to be an avid hiker to access all there is to see and do in this natural wonderland. Stay at the State Park or nearby Morro Bay and, from there, visit the estuary on foot or by boat (kayak rentals are available at multiple marinas, including the marina across the street from the state park). We visited the area for four days and didn't see everything. Be sure to visit Spooner's Cove at Montana de Oro, as well. Fabulous!

The estuary is a terrific place to watch birds and tides. The diversity of plants and animals makes this a worthwhile stop!
