Stayed here recently just for one night while on a California coast drive and couldn't have been more pleasantly surprised. I've had nothing but good experiences with most Comfort Inns I've stayed at and this one was up there. The young front desk guy, Joleel or Joheel I believe (?) was VERY accomodating. He gave us a free upgrade to a king suite with a gas fireplace and a huge bathroom as well as a card for a free appetizer at Tarpy's Restaurant right down the road...which was fantastic by the way. Room was very spacious, grounds were clean, comfy bed and very quiet. My only concern was when turning off the gas fireplace the gas sound never turned off so I was a little worried about that! I called Joheel and he assured me that was normal. I'd definitely recommend this hotel.

The Comfort Inn Monterey Peninsula Airport motel is very nice, quiet and clean! I really liked when I came in around 9:30 p.m. and met the manager, Mr. Pat. He was a wonderful man, very warm and friendly. I was also in Room 305 which was very quiet and exceptionally clean. I had the most wonderful maid service ever!!! I wish I could pronounce the girl's name, but I loved her! I was there from August 26 - September 2nd. This hotel is very close to the airport, (like a block and a half away). If you don't have a lot of luggage, you can practically walk there. Cab service is expensive, so it is best to rent a car. This hotel is far from downtown Monterey, so I recommend a GPS in your car to get you around. If you want away from the noise or hustle/bustle of the evening at Monterey or the traffic, I recommend this hotel. The breakfast is wonderful, sausage, eggs, yogart, banannas, apples, waffles, toast, boiled eggs, fresh pastries, muffins, apple juice, coffee, and it is complimentary, you don't have to pay anything for it. It can last you at least until dinner. Good sitting area, but you also have to option to take the food to your room. The grounds are clean and quiet. There is a complimentary Wall Street Newspaper at the front desk. I wish all hotel managers were as nice as Pat. He was awesome!! Thank you.

Room was great! Beds were comfortable, bathroom was large with a jetted tub. Atmosphere of the room was very relaxing and the bathroom had a spa feeling. Staff was very nice and helpful. Free breakfast was great aside from the limited seating. I would absolutely recommend this motel!

I was hesitant to book a room near an airport, but friends were staying there, so I decided to take the risk. Much to my surprise, this hotel is VERY quiet... even with the windows opened I could barely hear aircraft.

The grounds were immaculate, as well as the room. Room size was larger than expected with a nice balcony overlooking the vast forest of trees. You'd never know you were just blocks away from an airport.

Check in was swift and guest services was top notch. Breakfast in the morning was fresh with lots of available options (waffles, sausage, eggs, yogurt, toast, cereals, juices, coffee, etc.).

Clearly a new favorite of mine in the Monterey bay area!
