“Fresh and Good”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 21, 2014

Stopped for a light dinner on my arrival to Monterey. Easy to find and nicely located on Alvarado (a main shopping/ dining/ walking street). The place is small and the food is good. Chicken shwarma plate was good and the accompanying salad was excellent. Spices were flavorful without being overpowering. Service was friendly.

“Pleasant Surprise”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 25, 2014

My husband and I stopped in for lunch during the course of our walking tour of historic Monterey. We had no idea what we'd find for restaurant options in the area, but we enjoy Mediterranean food and thought we'd check it out. We were not disappointed. I had the falafel wrap and my husband the gyros wrap. Both were delicious. The owner was friendly, welcoming, and offered to answer any of our questions about the Monterey area and its attractions. She came out of the back to let me know our order was taking awhile because she makes the falafel fresh. It was worth the wait. I'd return if I could (we're from outside the state an were on vacation)!

“Nice cafe, food taste good but expect to wait”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 15, 2014 via mobile

Food is nice and is more delicious than the presentation. Owner is very warm and welcoming and is willing to make off menu items to cater to the children if you ask her. The only down side of the cafe is that it is a one man operation so expect to wait for your food to be freshly prepared and served.

“Delicious Fresh Food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 16, 2014

Great option for vegans and vegetarians. Small cafe, friendly owner vibe, high-quality food, small restaurant not special decor but worth the visit for the food.

“Slow service, wrong food”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed January 26, 2014

We waited a long time only to get the wrong food. Tasted ok, but the tsatziki sauce had too much garlic. Their version of tabouleh was a green salad.
