“Not the Ramada I expected”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 20, 2010

When we booked a Ramada I thought it would be a high rise type building but I was pleasantly surprised by its quaint atmosphere. We stayed there to see Bob Dylan at the fairgrounds which are very nearby. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. The room was nice - the bathroom was a little outdated but clean so it was fine.

Free, fast internet access (which is how I am typing this at the moment). Rooms are clean and do not stink. It is situated pretty close to a busy road so there is some traffic noise but it's not unbearable.

Have to say that before I even stayed here, I wanted to write them a recommendation. I thought I might need to cancel my reservation at the last minute and the manager (or owner?), Sam was really terrific and helpful on the phone. We didn't have one problem in staying here once we arrived either.

This is definitely a Motel and as someone who is used to nicer places, I was impressed. The rooms were quiet (except for plumbing) and I barely noticed any airplanes flying overhead (and we were on the 2nd of a 2-story building). The complimentary breakfast is slightly above average thanks to both a waffle iron and a nice lady who makes it for you. Monterey is way overpriced in my opinion but to save on the drive to San Jose during Friday rush hour was worth it - even if we were on the motel strip.

Rooms were a bit larger than average, clean, safe and quiet. Am really glad I chose a motel highly rated on tripadvisor for the customer service factor alone.

Ramada Limited had everything I wanted for a great price: refrigerator, free wireless Internet, microwave and a pool! Also, it was in close proximity to points of interests in the Monterey area. The rooms were clean and the motel was always well-maintained. Overall, I had a good experience - I would definitely stay at Ramada Limited again.Do not judge this hotel from the on-line photos. Room was very nice, updated and clean. Nice continental breakfast in the hotel lobby to start the morning nice place to stay in Monterey if your on a budget.

We arrived here after looking around all the other hotels and struggling to find one within our budget! This hotel was the cheapest , however the front desk on numerous occasions struggled to understand us, the rooms were clean and nice, however the planes flying above are noisy and make you feel like your sleeping on a runway, a good place to stay if you are a thrill seeker!
The breakfast was great, would have been even better of the little lady vanished, rather funny at first with her, pancakes ready, ready pancakes routine, however after a day her abruptness becomes a little nausiating!

We spent 2 nights here and have to say this was one of the cleanest places we have stayed! Our room had a very comfortable bed, the towels were soft and smelled great. There was a fridge and microwave inside a sideboard that were both sparkling!
The location was great and was easy to get to Fisherman's Wharf and Cannery Row. A short hop to 17 mile drive.
We will stay here again if we venture to this part of California again!!

There are lots of same type motels on this road. We just guessed on this one. For about $103 we got a clean room 213 with nice beds, free Internet, fridge, microwave. Simple decor, clean, easy access to US 1. We spent all our time outside at Point Lobos State Natural Reserve as we've already done the touristy Monterey stuff--that was worth the trip!

We had family here from Oaklahoma and got 2 rooms with 2 queen beds. I was very happy to find such a reasonable rate in June in Monterey. We found the rooms updated, clean and comfortable beds. What more could you want for a good nights rest. They supplied us with extra coffee and shampoo and conditioner as we had 4 in each room. The location is easy to find. Kind of a motel strip. Really not the greatest area. Adult store just a short walk away. But we had no problems and it was quiet. The breakfast they offered was nice. My nieces and sister in law loved the waffles. Its free. Some expect more but I thought they were generous. Not a place for romance or an experience but great for a place to lay your head after a busy day in Monterey at a reasonable price for families.
