Just go. This place has a super atmosphere, oh so good fresh and tastey food and good service. Ohhhh man, you've got to try it!Order the poke, mmmmmm!

This place was recommended to us by some locals and we could not have been happier. We had the best waitress in the world, very helpful, fun and patient. Atmosphere is awesome but once the food arrives at your table you will be so happy you won't even notice anymore. Everything was so wonderful. The pulled pork is to die for, really. The kids loved it too although we had to order for them from the appetiser menu, it worked out fine. So good we are planning to stay near there again this summer so we can try out some other menu items. Looks a little like a dive from the outside and the place is a little small. Don't let that stop you because it is totally worth the wait. So Good !

Great Food! Surfing videos on the monitors along with fun music. We had a blast. We went on a busy night and the staff took time to explain menu items to us. I would recommend Hula's to anyone visiting Monterey.

You want great seafood, you want a steak, you want the best hawaiian pork plate, you want vegetarian or just great sides...Oh my gosh, these people know what they're doing. Always lively, always fresh and delicious.

there are not any fun energetic restaurants or bars (not sleazy joints) on the Monterey Peninsula...And then they try Hula's Island Grill.
