Oh, the memories....
Over the years, my wife and I have gone to the Sardine Factory on special occasions. It was one of those places that just exuded elegance but not pretentious by any means. The service was always impeccable; a place where you felt special and your presence appreciated. The food was, in my opinion, excellent...from the sear on the steak to the adornments on the plate.
That same experience, at least for me, has diminished. We had the opportunity to dine at this, one of our favorite restaurants, during the Thanksgiving holiday season. The service is not as distinct as it once was, the food, both in presentation and taste, did not compare to previous occasions. The ambience? well, whether you are sitting at the bar or in the atrium, conservatory or the captain's room, it is as beautiful and stunning as ever.
