“Nice drive for a few dollars”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 7, 2014

When you are in that area, take an hour and enjoy the drive & the view! We liked it very much. In the evening hours, we had almost no traffic .. but a lot of fog

“Gorgeous and majestic”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 6, 2014

I loved the homes and the nature, with the whales spouting and the otters playing. Those mega mansions were something to strive for one day...............................

“Great Drive”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 5, 2014

Very relaxing, fun to see all the historic areas The drive does have a $10 fee associated with it so just be aware of that before taking off.

“We have a free and beautiful alternative!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed January 30, 2014

You don't have to pay to see the beautiful area of Pacific Grove and Carmel. Take your own scenic drive. Just outside of Cannery Row, take Ocean View Blvd (it is a great ocean view). Perkins Park is a long stretch of easy to maneuver trails with great views. There are many small parking areas to pull over and look for whales or other wildlife. Continue along Sunset Drive. Asilomar State Beach area is a nice stopping point. When the road curves inland, take a left on Forest and visit the charming, historic Pacific Grove downtown. There are lots of place to eat, shop or just have a good cup of coffee. If you have time take the 1 south to Carmel. Take Scenic Drive and then go out Carmel Valley Road to the fun Carmel Valley Village, cute shops, food and wine tasting.
