“Nice trip - boats need attention”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 18, 2014

We went whale watching twice this past weekend - once with this company and once with Princess WW. They are neither 5 stars but I would choose this one.
The 2 boats this company has are both small and need updating. We were on the Pt Sur Clipper and the crew was very friendly and knowledgeable - unlike Princess WW where we were given wrong info about the gray whales. The naturalist was very good, friendly, knowledgeable and mingled with the guests. He was very enthusiast and seemed excited to be going what he was going.
When we boarded the boat the benches were all wet. It would have been nice to at least have them wiped down so as not to be wet before we left the harbor.
We saw several Gray whales and other wildlife so that part of the trip was good. It would be nice if this company had a bigger, more modern boat with the great crew.
The other point that made me uncomfortable was that the gal in the office who checks you in and takes the money was telling people about the other trips on the wharf. She trashed all the other companies and said why each one of them is not as good as the company she works for. That was not necessary or professional.

“Spectacular wildlife, great guide”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2014

I went mid January and saw so many entertaining and spunky sea lions, 2 dolphin species, many birds and 4plus gray whales. So graceful, so majestic. Our boat crew was lead by an incredibly knowledgeable biologist that was so respectful and careful to keep proper distant from the whales. Commentary was great. Wonderful experience. Bring wind breaking coat and gloves. ..it gets cold.

“The Best Trip Ever! We Saw A Orca Family Hunting!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 5, 2014

This trip was awesome!! It was so great to have a Marine Biologist on the trip, it helped my daughter a lot with all her questions. These guys work in pairs so when one boat finds whales they let the other one know. We saw so many whales and dolphins on are trip and the views on the water were just wonderful! We ever got the rare sighting of Orca (Killer Whales) whales. They were hunting a sea lion and we got to see the whole event go down even though it ran the tour over 30mins. She said there was no way she was going to let us miss this rare sighting and kept us other there longer. This is a will do again! Great part is you can reserve your spot and them pay when you get there. No money needed up front but please do make reservations they book up very fast.

“Great guides and Good experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 29, 2013

We could only get the 7am tour but we were well looked after - there was hot drinks and breakfast provided. The reviews for this tour were spot on - excellent guides, excellent handling of passengers and ship, ... They took us very far and out and we exceeded the 3 hours but they seem no hurry. Above all, we saw whales and dolphins - which is what we came for. Very happy we chose this company. Highly recommended.
