Since we're from Hawaii, we have many of the best sushi restos, including Morimoto's, Nobu, and Sasabune, I wasn't expecting the same level of sushi offerings from Crystal Sushi, recommended by the owners of the B&B where we stayed. We arrived before 6:00 and didn't have a reservation, but noticed right away that the dining room was about full. We felt lucky to get a table near the counter where 4 sushi-makers were busily performing and making sushi.
Although a little off in ambience, especially with the seasonal Halloween decor, the food made up all the difference. We had seared albacore, miso soup, and two handmade rolls with our complimentary tea. The price came up to a bargain at $40 for the level of quality and the generous quantity.
As said before, this resto has probably the very best sushi in the peninsula.
