This was the reason for our trip to Monterey and we were not disappointed. There are so many amazing things to see. You cannot even capture the beauty of these creatures with a camera--you have to see them up close for yourself. There were many hands on exhibits for the kids to play with. It was very crowded which made it a little difficult. We didn't even try to eat there because it was so crowded. Staff was helpful and knowledgable.

This was a highlight of our trip in the USA.
The displays were lovely, the jellies especially.
It was busy, some displays were hard to see because of the crowds but by waiting a few minutes it was fine.
We would go back again no problem. We were happy to pay the price.
The Staff were nice too!!

We visited in mid-April, 2008; and spent many hours there. Though I'm not big on zoos, etc...feeling that animals and all belong in their natural habitat; this aquarium does an excellent job of presenting marine life in seemingly well thought out settings. There are many activities for children in particular to enjoy, but adults were more than fascinated too. I've been to many aquariums throughout the world, but this one is one of the best! Though we received free tickets from friends, I would have gladly paid the price of admission. Don't miss this wonderful attraction!

Fabulous!!! The Jellies were my favorite but the otters and the HUGE tuna were fascinating too. A world class facility. I would recommend the Monterey Aquarium to anyone.Outstanding experience. i loved the presentations in the auditorium, just the right length to be informative but not overbearing. Staff was highly knowledgeable.
