Right on the Bay overlooking a wonderful view of the sea and land to the North. I was upgraded to a partial sea view room with fireplace so every time we entered we had that fabulous sight right in front of us. The room was tastefully decorated with everything you might need.

The service is top notch and the valet parking (which seems mandatory) works very well because the garage is just across the street.

Yes, it is expensive and the food and beverage charges are very high but there are plenty of other options within walking distance. If I stayed again I don't think I would bother with a car as the valet charges ($25 a day) mount up when there isn't any compelling reason to venture further than walking distance or a short cab ride.

Hope to return someday.

Room Tip: Buy your aquarium tickets from the concierge because they give 2 day entry for the same as 1 day pri...

I enjoyed everything about this place. Nice bar and restaurant, great rooms with a view, and very friendly staff. We ony had breakfast in the restaurant, I figured if the breakfast was that good, the dinner menu must be equally as good, if not better.

Excellent accommodations and very friendly and helpful staff. Centrally located. Gorgeous views of the Bay. Enjoyed the outdoor patio with firepit. Excellent restaurant on premises. Nathan, our server, was one of the best servers we've ever had.

My husband and stayed here for 1 night during our honeymoon trip to USA and it was a definite favourite. We were upgraded to an ocean view room with a balcony which sat above the ocean and we went to sleep with the sound of the waves which was so relaxing. The staff were all friendly and welcoming from the valet team to the reception guys and restaurant waitress. My husband's Ambassador status was alluded to at reception and the complimentary upgrade was accredited to membership of this programme. This was one of three Intercontinental hotels which we stayed in during the trip and I have to say that all 3 rewarded his membership and went out of their way to make us very welcome. The Clement also gave us a card of congratulations for our marriage and the offer of free desserts at the restaurant which was a nice touch. The bedroom, like the hotel, was modern, clean and well proportioned and presented. The bathroom was well appointed and very modern. Cleanliness was of a very high standard, large bath sheets and delightfully soft bed linen provided and a large comfortable bed with fluffy cloud-like duvet. We were very sorry to leave and would definitely like to return sometime.

This is really and excellent place to stay with a few drawbacks. Yes, it is centrally located, but the dining options are hyper-touristy (i.e. bubba gump). It right on the water, but chances are you will have a view of a block wall or parking garage. The restaurant is very good - better than expected in an IC hotel. The best part is the short walk to the aquarium and the otter/whale viewing at breakfast.

The hotel was beautiful and good service but when my husband and I walked in our room and saw our view, we were greatly disappointed. Our room looked out to the courtyard where they were checking in guests. So, all day long, and much of the night, cars circled the area. We felt we couldn't keep our window sheers open or sliding glass door because we felt we had no privacy. We paid a lot of money for the room so we were expecting more. When we checked in, we were told valet service was $25 a night. We felt that was reasonable so we agreed. When we checked out, we had a $5 charge per night for an oversize vehicle, but we weren't told that. That wasn't cool. We did get free wifi for signing up with Intercontinental Hotels card/number and that was cool, so it turned out to be an even trade. We probably won't stay there again.

Room Tip: Don't stay in Room 245.

We were looking for a modern and sophisticated hotel to stay, but, wanted to be in the middle of everything, and this is the perfect choice. There is much to see and do within walking distance besides the Aquarium, and it is very nice to be able to walk rather than drive. The hotel rooms are very nice - very modern bathrooms, comfortable beds, nice linens and towels, and really nice bath products. The restaurant and bar are very "hotel" but, the view is amazing and the food is decent and tasty. They light fire pits some nights and have live music, which is very cool. This is the perfect civilized oasis in the middle of Cannery Row when you, frankly, need a break from all the cheesiness & tackiness!
