“Great location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 14, 2012

The prices are actually pretty reasonable. The location can't be beat. The service is excellent, even when my reservation was messed up. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and have many accommodations.

Stayed at this hotel last month for 3 nights for a work function - found it to be very nice and comfortable.
Rooms; good sized with really nice beds and pillows and linens. One night it was a bit chilly so I had a chance to enjoy the fireplace.
Bathroom; large and extremely clean, just couldn't figure out why only one sink.
Restaurant/Bar area; didn't eat in the restaurants as I was at a work function but, they did cater our lunches and i will have to say these were the best "catered" lunches I've had. Quality, taste, freshness - everything presented was very good.
Bar; had drinks a couple of nights. Nice outdoor area just wish the indoor space was a bit more inviting.
All employees I came in contact with very nice and helpful.
Overall I really enjoyed this facility and its in a great location. I just cant figure out when Monterey got so hip and clean...I remember old Monterey :o)

A 4-star pattern in a very good location, next to the Monterey Bay Aquarium (100m), at John Steinbeck's historic Cannery Row, near the Monterey Bay Coastal Recreation Trail for walking, jogging and cycling. The hotel has a light and happy atmosphere. Very, very sympathetic staff, always ready at any call to comply with a request. Continuous hospitality. Impeccable in everything. There are not many places nearby to have good and cheap breakfast before 10 am. The C Restaurant & Bar inside the hotel is very fancy, with good service, gorgeous view from the bay, but expensive for diary breakfast. Valets and bellmen always available (the valets always run to get the car!). Room: large, comfortable, clean; coffeemaker with complimentary coffee. Bathroom: fancy, large, clean. Bath-tub separated from shower bath compartment. A lot of places to have lunch and dinner nearby. I recommend Bubba Gump (in front of the hotel entrance): very good meals (specially shrimps) for $20 (or less) a plate. I strongly recommend this hotel for families with kids. I look forward to go back next year.

We were here for 1 night. Had a double room with partial ocean view and fireplace. Room was much larger than expected. The kids enjoyed playing in the tub. The bathroom was a good size. Pretty modern decor all around. The staff was friendly and the hotel exceeded our expectations. It's walking distance to everything that we needed.

The C Restaurant + Bar had well prepared breakfast and great selections for my picky kids plus it was really reasonable. The view is amazing too!

Everyone enjoyed the stay. A great mini vacation away from the City.

We loved this hotel. Took a while to get to the hotek as the roads into Cannery Row were a bit tricky to follow on the GPS. Conveniently located right next to the Monterey Bay aquarium, it offers great ocean views. We tried asking for an ocean view room (we were willing to pay) as our room faces a fence but they said they were full for the weekend (there was also a wedding). Definitely splurge on the ocean view next time as Monterey Bay was gorgeous.

Parking facilities cost 20 per day and it starts from the moment you enter the garage, which means you should only pay 40 for a 2 night stay if you plan properly. The gym was small but well equipped and it faces a small lap pool which was a nice touch.

We will definitely be back.

We stayed in this lovely hotel while in town visiting family. Ever so pleasing was the gorgeous decor with an asian flair! We stayed in a 1 bedroom suite, 2 full bathrooms on the bayside. The sitting room was spacious with a fireplace, the bedroom was great with the most comfortable bed and fabulous pillows and another fireplace, and the bathroom! Wow, large with fresh orchids flanking the vanity! Monterey is one of our favorite destinations and this hotel will be the one we come back to! Great staff!!!

Room Tip: Request bay view.

We stayed here for 1 night en route on our drive from LA to San Fran. The hotel is located along Cannery Row, an area concentrated with shopping arcades, individual stores and restaurants. Whilst touristy, we enjoyed the mildly festive atmosphere in the air that comes from a place where everyone is predominantly on holiday. The hotel lives up to its intercontinental name: the room was spacious, furniture was well maintained and the bed was suitably firm and fluffy. My only gripe is with respect to the location of the room. From the lobby, you had to take the lift to your desired floor and the take the connecting bridge across to the tower which houses the rooms. That can be quite annoying if you had loads of luggage with you and compounded with the fact that no bellman was forthcoming to help with the luggage. Other than that, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Note though that they do not having any self-parking facilities in the hotel and the nearest parking facility is about 2 blocks away.
