“Great place!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 8, 2012

I have been there a few times now and everytime was a great experience. Everyone is very nice and courteous in this place. If you would like to get a great wine for a good price and support a local business, this is the place to go. They also have the sparkly Moscato a lot of people like. It is imported from Italy and a few cents cheaper than at the grocery store like for example Raley's.

“I wanted to like it...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 27, 2012 via mobile

...it has so many elements of what I love: local, wine, food...but it seems a bit over priced and the atmosphere needs help- it just feels sterile and bad lighting for dining. But they were super friendly and food wasn't bad. Just needs an upgrade by someone with an eye for atmosphere so you don't feel like you're sitting in the midst of a liquor store :)

“Fantastic Pulled Pork Sandwich”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 27, 2012

I previously reviewed this restaurant because the food is excellent, in a town mostly devoid of good restaurants. I am reviewing this restaurant again because I have tried more menu items and want to share my findings.
Today, I had the best pork sandwich I have ever eaten. It came with the best potato salad I have ever eaten. If one does not like pork, the bistro burgers are the best hamburgers I have eaten. The salad is fantastic. The soup of the day is always home made and delicious. The restaurant is kept immaculately clean. Meals are served with cloth napkins. There is a large selection of wines to choose from and also a unique selection of delicious soft drinks from makers of quality products.
The food in this place is truly amazing for the price. Dining is casual.

“Sips Brunch at Sips Bistro & Wine Shop”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 12, 2012

Went to Sips Bistro & Wine Shop for my birthday. They served a delicious homemade quiche and we had mimosas. It's very quaint inside, and they have a very nice wine selection to meet all tastes and budgets. The service was excellent - very personable. They do wine tastings on Friday and Saturday evenings; something I would like to go do one of these times.
They have weekly lunch specials, Sunday brunch specials, and featured wines/wineries for their nightly and Fri/Sat tastings.
I think it would be an excellent place for a small gathering - like a baby or bridal shower brunch.

“Surprise Gourmet Restaurant In An Unexpected Location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 17, 2011

One would never expect to find a gourmet restaurant in a neighborhood shopping center, but this one is in an inconspicuous space within the Crossroads Shopping Center at Kansas and Carpenter Roads. It is next to Mountain Mike's Pizza shop.
The interior of the restaurant is clean and looks new, but it is not lavishly furnished.
It looks more like a place to sip wine as half of the shop has wine bottles on racks.
The menu is American cuisine. Lunch features excellent sandwiches and dinner has more elaborate entrees. Prices range from $7 to $16.
The special of the day is usually excellent. My wife and I often order the Bistro Burgers ($8), which come with a unique homemade salad. When potato salad is available, it is the best we have ever tasted. Most of what is sold is made on the premises. So, there are home made soups and different dressings and sauces in the menu items.
In addition to wine, there is quite a variety of non-alcohol drinks and home made desserts.
This is not a fast food place. Food is made to order, so it takes 15-30 minutes for most items to be served. It is a place to leisurely dine and enjoy the wine. Allow an hour to enjoy a glass of wine and an excellent meal.
Only lunch and dinner is served. The restaurant is closed on Mondays.
For the money, this restaurant is an excellent value.
This is an authentic review. I am not a friend of the owner or of any employee of the restaurant.
