“Wonderful staff & accommodations”

My stay was exceptional. I made a last minute, whirl wind trip to attend a memorial. Ayers gave me the opportunity to stay a few extra days to visit old friends. The staff was friendly, always helpful and pleasant. A special "thank you" to Rachel! You were my Angel and helped me have the chance to spend more time with dear friends : )

Around 3:00 am I awoke to a flashing light that had a strobe effect glaring directly in my face. I turned on the ceiling light and realized it was coming from what I think was a fire alarm light. There was no noise just a very strong flashing light. It was located on the wall at the foot of the bed and therefore shone directly in my face. I finall got a restaurant paper menu and slid it between the wall and the plastic "switchplate" and let the menu flop over the light. I went back to bed. There was no emergency.

Stayed here on a recent trip with family. The hotel is very well maintained and the rooms are clean and comfortable. The hotel staff does a a amazing job of making you feel welcome and the complimentary breakfast is awesome! Would def stay here again. We were only 30 minutes to Disneyland and 20 from Laguna beach. Great central location

Clean, comfortable, convenient. EXCELLENT complimentary breakfast. The restaurant was rather disappointing for dinner.... and overpriced. An otherwise great stay. Wish we had a room with a better view, will know better next time!

This hotel has a nice main floor and breakfast. The rooms themselves were just so-so. Frankly, they were clean, but nothing fantastic. The room air was typical hotel-dry-sterile. Nothing above 3 star (out of 5). I would have been satisfied, but we were not provided an option in the suites (so I can't comment there) and the price for the actual rooms was very high for the value.

Service at the front desk was above average. Room maid service was only adequate. On Sunday I don't believe the room was even made up after we got a late start. I'm not looking for 5 star service at a 3 star hotel, but all the same, if you pay a high rate, you expect a little attention beyond check-in. I might also note that I left a tip for the maid on the first day and received standard service. Usually, when we do that we get a little extra attention, e.g., extra towels etc. Perhaps they have rules against favoring one room over another, but that is hardly industry standard.

In all, my only real gripe was the price. I didn't think it was deserving of such a high rate on the hotel side. The location is solid, being next to the freeway and on a major road. It was quiet. There were several lounging areas. The pool was well separated from the hotel, so the kids never got wet as they didn't want to make the trek. There was a lot of parking lot to traverse to get to main office.

I would likely stay there again because of the location, but I would be looking for a serious break on price. Place is safe.

Room Tip: Make a deal. Don't overpay for this facility.

This past weekend my husband and I stayed in Ayres Hotel & Spa Mission Viejo. The experience was wonderful. The room was very clean and the bed was so comfortable. The manager Didi Shields left us a complimentary bottle of wine for are anniversary that was so sweet of her. My husband did a spa massage and he said he never felt better. Oh and not to forget the complimentary free buffet in the morning was scrumptious. All the employees are so nice and work so hard to make sure your stay is just a delight. I will defiantly be staying here again and again :) Thank you Ayres for an amazing stay and making my anniversary wonderful.

Room Tip: The one bedroom signature suite is lovely and has a lot of space. I love that is was on the top floo...

We had a long term stay here in March 2014.
With all its facilities and location, this hotel is well worth such a stay.
The room, or suite rather, was nice and clean with a very good bed and a down blanket, in addition to a magnificient view towards the Santa Ana Mountains. The atrium and the pool with a jacuzzi contributes to the fine quality of this hotel. The free breakfast was good, especially the made-to-order omelets. However, during a long stay it became clear that the breakfast could have come with more variation, especially if one tries to reduce the consumption of carbohydrates. The free wi-fi was faultless. Minor issues during our stay were fixed prompt and with a smile. There is a marketplace just minutes away and there is the possibility of walks in a park and wellkept residential areas by crossing the bridge over tollroad 241. The O`Neill Regional Park and other recreational areas are within easy reach by car.

Room Tip: The traffic from Los Alisos and 241 might be a concern for some guests, but did not bother us.

Green Features: The hotel seems to take this seriously. We did not need to use A/C, reduced easily the use of towels and linen, as suggested by the hotel.
