We have been at "Ayres Hotel & Spa Mission Viejo" hotel last weekend. Very pretty European -style hotel with very clean and comfortable room. My daughter was happy to find 2-nd TV in the room :) Good breakfast, free WiFi, working place with comfortable chair. Staff was very friendly and useful. We'd stay again. Thank you!

We stayed for just a couple of days, and it was great. We went to Disney's Halloween Party, and this was just far enough away to give us a break from all the craziness. The rooms were big and clean and the breakfast was great. Room service was awesome, and very inexpensive. The staff was wonderful!!!!

We are very appreciative of your recommendation and hope to welcome you back very soon.

We only stayed one night to attend a wedding nearby. So I can't say I can rate all this fine Hotel has to offer. But I can relate my experience. Check in was quick and easy. I noticed how clean the lobby was, as well as the corridors to our first floor room. The room was perfect for what we were doing. I wouldn't want to stay a week there but for a day or two it would be great.
Breakfast was amazing. They had quite a lot to offer. I grabbed scrambled eggs, potatoes, and sausage for my wife and took that to our room. Then went back and got the same for myself. Plus coffee and orange juice. I didn't want to overdue it but I sure could have, there were many other options.
Checkout was short and sweet. I have never stayed at a Ayres Hotel before but would now search one out anywhere I stayed.

Stayed Thursday-Monday: Rooms were updated and very clean. Cookies and fresh cucumber water out in the lobby on week nights. Breakfast was very good and had a nice range of options. The main hot items were always the same though, scrambled eggs, sausage links and breakfast potatoes. They also offered hot oatmeal with a few different toppings and a waffle iron with pre-made batter. We enjoyed breakfast each morning outside in the courtyard. The hotel was nice and even smelled good. And whatever brand of showerhead they use is awesome. I don't think that is something I would ever remember, much less say, after a hotel stay. Wall-mounted thermostat, but window AC units. Gets chilly if you're in the bed closest to unit (2 full beds). Even though there were several lights, it was still pretty dark in the room. Perhaps bulbs were a low wattage. Went to the hotel bar when we arrived home one night. Seemed pricey - $9 for a lemondrop shot. Overall, the stay was great. Just wish they'd had those cookies out Fri, Sat, and Sun!

Dear GAPeach813 -

How wonderful to know we were able to make such an impression! Thank you so very much for your kind words and for taking the time to share your experience. We do try to provide a welcoming ambiance for our guests, which means close attention to details - even down to the cucumber water. We will definitely take your cookie suggestion into consideration. Thank you again and please consider us the next time you are in the area.

Safe travels,

for a few little things. Service was excellent, except for one youg man who was fairly new and not very gracious, friendly, or helpful. He was downright rude: he kept leaving the front desk just as we approached to ask a question, promptly checking his phone of course, then quickly walking away.
The rooms are large and very clean, however, the central area gets very, very noisy esp. on weekend nights, as has already been mentioned. It is a nice area to sit in by the fire, I just think people could be more considerate of others (what a concept!) but I guess management is limited to what they can do.

I loved the fact that housekeeping is available late (3 PM) bc we were sleeping in late. For that, we can blame the impossibly comfortable beds that you never want to leave. Top quality sheets, pillows, comforters. etc. will guarantee some of the best sleep you've ever had.

As a *BONUS* to this hotel, I have to say the restaurant on site has some of the most delicious burgers we've ever had, very reasonably priced (even w room service).

Now for the reasons this was not a five star review: our first night, we found we had been sleeping on a pillowcase stained with drops of blood -ewww. Promptly informed housekeeping to change everything, who knows if they had been changed from the previous guests?? The bathroom was nice and clean, except for a loooooong black hair nicely tucked into one of the bath towels. Ewwww again. Third, the pool area NEVER, ever had towels available in the early evening, requiring one of us to walk soaking wet (and cold) to ask for towels from the front desk. Cookies were never available on weeknights, as we were told they'd be, but most of the time there was cold "spa" water (cucumber/lemons) available -eternally grateful for it!

All in all, we'd definitely stay here again, but it would be super nice if these little things were corrected.
