I have been going to the Black Angus when I travel to San Jose for a couple years. But I have yet to eat in the restaurant. I go to the bar to get thier happy hour drinks and appitizers or light fare. The Rodney Strong Cabernet is $5.50 per glass at happy hour, and is a reasonable Cab. (my opinion) I used to get an appetizer and skip dinner. But now that they have the calories on the menu, it has convinced me to have a glass of wine, then go to Togo's across the parking lot. (thanks for having that info on the menu)
I did have a chicken sandwich in one if my last visits, and it tasted fine, but left alot of taste after I was finished eating. It was not bad, but even brushing my teeth did not really get rid of the aftertaste. But it did taste fine while eating it.
I did not have other food there on this trip.
Overall, I would recommend this as a reasonable place to go for a drink after work, or to meet people for a happy hour drink. Miguel at the bar will take good care of you.
