No smile when we arrived. Elder man at the reception did need a while to find our reservation. We had an early flight next morning
and I asked if we could get breakfast (which was free ) so early.
He said no. When I asked again if we could only get coffee he
told me to make my own coffee in the room. This was not kind and friendly at all.
Our room was on the 3 rd floor. The elevator was so old and dirty -
I was afraid it would stop and let us wait for hours...

The room was o.k. and clean at first sight, but when we spilled
a little juice and cleaned it with a paper towel, the towel was black with dirt afterwards.

When checking out the next morning, I had a question about the bill which was answered in a very unfriendly way.

The pick-up service to the airport was in time
and worked very well.

We choose this hotel because of the location close to the BART
stop and the airport and the rate. But we would have better
spent some more money to get a nicer place.

I read most reviews for this property and expected basically a low-priced, "2-star" hotel. This is exactly what it is.

I found the room to be of sufficient size, clean, and very typical. The bathroom was a slightly different story with older, stained tub a very low ceiling and significant pathwork on the tiling. But, there was no problem with the hot water or other things working.

The location is excellent and very close to the airport and BART. I did not use the shuttle service. I was up very early for a flight and saw a security guard patrolling the parking lots which was nice since parts of the lots are hidden from street view.

The bottom line is this is an adequate stay for a low price. My wife probably would not have thought too much of it and I wouldn't recommend for a family, but for a 1-night business or pass-through stay, it seemed fine.

For any traveller on a lay-over at SFO, this is a fantastic location. Anything and everything you could possibly need is within a very short walk -- BART station, drug store, supermarket, fast food, barber shop, shoe-repair shop, liquor store, Sees candy store (!!), Kinkos, hair salons, several banks, and a number of perfectly fine Asian restaurants. The motel is only two stops away on BART from Tanofran Mall in San Bruno, which has everything you might possibly need -- Target, Barnes & Noble, Sears, food court, etc.

The particular room I stayed in was attractive, very clean, and very quiet. The bed was exceptionally comfortable.

However. With the exception of a young woman who works reception here in early afternoons, the staff seems inexplicably crabby and snotty. A very definite attitude of "couldn't be bothered" prevails. Even the simplest question is met with a terse, barked response.

I'm not a fussy, prissy, high-maintenance customer. I certainly don't have outrageous expectations for a hotel/motel in this price range. But I was still very much displeased by the snotty attitude of the hotel's staff working there in the late afternoon and evening.

I mean, seriously. Does it cost a business any extra to treat customers as if they were human beings deserving of common respect?

In a nutshell: reasonable price for a fantastic location. A very fine place to stay if you can ignore the staff.
