“Rooms need remodeling”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 12, 2014

Has old furniture, old TV, old light fixtures, loose plugs some with no ground. The only spaire plug to plug in was in bathroom. The door seal at bottom was missing a foot of it and left a 3/4" gap that bugs could just walk in, had to stuff a wash rag in it. This room was in the single story wing on north side, the wing on the south side lookes to be a little newer. Place looks good from the outside but that is deceiving. I will try another place if in merced again.
I think if a Trave Lodge rep stayed in the room i did they would require changes to the motel!

Stayed here with a friend during a road trip. We had been in Yosemite for the day and in the end, because of the fires we ended up not making Lake Tahoe, original destination but leaving the park very late and staying here instead. The positives were its price and considering it was so late the fact we were allowed to check in and stay! The room wasn't too bad, pretty clean, but not great. The man on reception was not very friendly either. And breakfast was terrible, they may as well say no breakfast. There was no wifi either, which was a bummer as it was advertised with wifi! But they had beds for us to stay and that was the most important thing, so I will give this a solid average 3 stars, not great, but also not awful. Would recommend better planning and finding a nicer place unlike us!

We stayed here for one night going from Yosemite to Monterey. Not having planned a stop here i did not have a chance to check out reviews before cheking in.
I paid only 61$ for a queen room which is cheap for a hotel room, but it still did not live up to my expectations. The room was clean but very small and poorly maintained with holes in the walls and the wallpaper being torn off in some places. The door was broken so there was a bit of light coming through even when it was closed.
Our room was in the old building and the room next door was being renovated, so perhaps i was just unlucky to get a bad room, but based on my experience I cannot recommend this motel.

We have been staying and Wyndham associated motels as we travel
across the country for the last 3 weeks. This was the worst motel!!
Granted I only booked a day or two before we planned to be in Yosemite,
and it was the only motel we could find that was available in Merced.
But it was small, uncarpeted, the internet was down, we could only get in
and out of the bed from one side because the room was so small, the
room for the free breakfast had one small table and 3 chairs, and the
final straw was that the parking provided was for "small cars" only.
Most of the cars were SUV's. All in all, we were very disappointed
