“Madera Restuarant at Rosewood Resort Hotel in Menlo Park, CA”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 25, 2011

This is our thrid visit to this lovely restaurant. We were very pleased the restuarant accommodated our request to seat us at the table in front of the fireplace. There are 5 of 8us and the table is for 7 or i. We were not disappointed on our every visit, the food quality was very good and the service was excellent. Atmosphere was very relaxing and enjoyable. We also love the contemporary decors. All in all, we had a memorable dinner!

“Great dinner spot on the peninsula for a big night out”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 22, 2011

The restaurant has a lovely woodsy feel with large windows overlooking the mountains and (drumroll please) 280- yes the highway. But despite that you don't even see it that often because it is obscured by trees and also the restaurant is just gorgeous so you are distracted. It is a major scene too. Food is really good- had an outstanding cuttlefish appetizer (unique) and then halibut with sweet peas puree (not unique but still delicious). Outstanding wine list as expected. This is a great spot in this area- there is not much here like it. The bar scene is very hopping and has a nice terrace.

“Menu and service needs work”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed April 6, 2010

We ate dinner at Madera on Easter Sunday. The menu and food is very odd and lacked flavor. We were very disappointed in both the food quality and the service is VERY SLOW. At the beginning of the meal we asked the waiter twice that we needed separate checks, and he still messed up the request. This angered our guests at the table and when the check arrived they did not agree with the amount.....not a pleasant experience. I would recommend eating at the bar or in your room.....not impressed with the restaurant. They need to listen and implement their customer's request accurately.
