“Date Night Home Run”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 23, 2012 via mobile

My wife and I have stayed here a few times for a one night getaway. Even though we live in Menlo, it felt like we were far away from home and the service was amazing. Throw in spa and dinner and you will be in heaven. They have a great weekend package since I think the hotel is mostly full on weekdays with business travelers. On the weekends we have been there its felt very quiet and tranquil. We will return.

Great location. Great hotel. The service is wonderful and they take care of all the little details that make for a wonderful stay.
We arrived late since we were coming in from the east coast. The front desk staff were incredibly helpful.
The rooms are large with a fabulous bathroom (also large) and facilities
Every service interaction we have had has been terrific!
We will return here often.

I was there for 4 nights last week. I enjoyed being there the rooms are spacious, the location is good if you have business in the district. however if you plan to go to San Francisco or other places, you should definitely rent a car, there is quite a long distance.

This is top star, luxury hotel, with all the comfort you would want. The rooms/cabins are spacious, and well fitted with modern furniture of a high quality. Finishing is a feast to the eye. The food is absolutely wonderful. Staff is very friendly, helpful. The only downside that I could think of regarding this hotel is its price: I paid 450 USD/night, which is steep. It is also that the hotel's environmenet is not nice, given the rather urban character, with crowded roads in the hotel's direct proximity. A colleague told me that the terraces are very popular exactly because of that, especially in summer, for people who just want to wind down on a Friday afternoon before heading home. The hotel's gardens are nice, with a nice pool deck...but sitting there with traffic noise in the background seems unappealing to me. I was staying there for a short conference, but if I had no particular business at the nearby University or else, I would not stay there, despite the very comfortable and luxurious character of the place.

Room Tip: Take a cabin at the back, as this is more quiet - not so much the noise (there simply is none, as th...

We stayed at Rosewood Sand Hill for 4 nights in late August. Weather was great. We had a great vacation. From check in to check out service was outstanding. Rooms are specious, equipped with elegant furniture and amenities. Beds are very comfortable. Pool service was the best.

The hotel is a hidden gem in Menlo Park. We will be again.

Our family had a great experience with a Sunday night stay over the holiday weekend. Lots of other families enjoying the perfect weather poolside. Our children were particularly impressed with the surprise delivery of Sprinkles Cupcakes with their initials on them. Room size, finish quality, and decor are very good. Service is friendly and attentive. Dinner in the lounge and breakfast at Madera were excellent.

Can't wait to return.
