Just five miles south of Fort Bragg, this reserve offers spectacular views of the north California coast. There's a nice walk through a meadow to the coast. We saw deer in the meadow.
There's also a 2.5 mile trial which takes you through five "terraces" and 500,000 years of geological change. One of those terraces is a pygmy forest.
And unlike many other California parks, it's free!
