This little restaurant perched above the waterline at Tomales Bay I believe is only open on weekends. They have the best barbequed oysters I've had and terrific oysters on the half-shell. Whenever we've been at this place it's populated mostly by locals- but to our surprise when we have mentioned this restaurant to our friends they also knew of it...so it seems to have developed an underground following. The atmosphere could not be more casual- the prices are reasonable, and the views of the bay are terrific. The staff is super nice. I dont believe they take credit cards- so bring cash if you want to eat here. This is a perfect place to catch lunch or dinner after a beautiful drive up highway 1 from San Francisco..for those of you who would rather shuck your own oysters- Just up the road is Hog Island Oysters- a place where you can buy and shuck your own raw oysters- (but Tony's has them beat for the BBQ.)
