“Amazing Oysters”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 10, 2014

We had an opportunity to try out this place during our recent visit to the area and boy were we happy..... the only disappoint I have was not try out every single type of oysters they have on their menu. we tried raw and the BBQ with garlic butter, they were fantastic! we also tried their clam chowder and it was excellent as well. they didn't have the crab when we were their,so we had the crab sandwich instead. it was very good but i wish i opt for the oysters instead. This place is really a shack but it has character. The food is pricy but you will not be disappointed for the experience.

“Amazing Lunch!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 24, 2014

We decided to skip the crowds at Hog Island and head the mile or so down the road to the Marshall Store. I couldn't have been more pleased! We shared the BBQ oysters with garlic, butter and house sauce and a crab sandwich. Both were delicious. My favorite part might have been dipping the bread into the oyster sauce. The crab sandwich was a bit expensive, but totally worth it. It was piled high with fresh crab. My kids aren't too adventurous, but they were happy with the bay shrimp cocktail. We sat outside at a picnic table and enjoyed the view. There is no question we will be back! I really want to try some of there smoked meats. Go, you won't regret it!

“Fun, sun and great oysters . . .”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 20, 2014

This place is nearly outstanding on any day that it isn't raining or on a Tuesday when they are closed (which we found out the hard way once when we had our hearts set on oysters). It's not a restaurant but an experience. You go into a building that could or should be called an "oyster shack," place your order, grab a beer or beverage and soup if you want it and head outside. Two places to eat--on their deck if you don't drink alcohol or in the seating area between the road and the bay. Nice view from either location. Not long after someone will shout your name and deliver your food, hopefully you will have ordered oysters prepared in one or more delicious ways. This community style dining can offer some good conversation . . . we learned that the lady next to us loved her crab salad. Our barbecued oysters, giant slices of bread and a small bowl of chowder filled us to the brim. Always a satisfying fun experience.

“Best place for oysters”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 10, 2014

Maybe it was the weather(sunny and warm) or maybe it was because it was Thursday(1$ raw oyster day!) but sitting outside enjoying the amazing oysters and a bottle of wine and beers made it so difficult, well maybe near impossible, to leave this place and head off to SF.Absolute must for anyone within an hour's drive of this place...especially on a Thursday!
